D-WayTools Radius Edged CBN Grinding Wheel

Hi Dave 'n Larry, Seems to me that you get an 80 degree grind on the tip, but then it must transition to a 90 degree grind when you start using the radius edge. The flat tool rest is at 80 degrees to the rim of the wheel, but is at 90 degrees to the face. Cheers Stuart

Exactly. Grinding on the side will provide no relief angle

Dave uses 80 degree maximum angle.

It is a little frustrating that you are charging an extra premium for the radius edged wheels over the standard wheels. These are made on a CNC machine and a rounded over corner is only slightly longer to fabricate over a standard wheel and the blank is identical. In reality the standard wheel will have a small radius in it so the program change is very simple. The surface area on the wheel will also be basically the same as the standard.

What is a lathe ? Why are you destroying those chisles ? You can be chipping away wood.
