Awesome vids! Love the info'!! Hard to justify tho with small hobby type knifework!! I notice a variety of machine makes in your videos. Reason? Re theCBN wheels. Are they available with 16mm-(5/8) bore? And, where can I find the price of them?

Did you find anyone in the end? I’m in GB myself and interested in these wheels too.

I hear ZDP189 is tempered at 150c easy to hit that with powered sharpeners. Cool Videos.
@knifegrindersaustralia51583 жыл бұрын
ooh! Thanks for mentioning this. The www.hitachi-metals.co.jp/e/yss/search/zdp189.html says tempering at 100-150°C.

Look to be a new design on the CBN wheels. Are those prototypes for the new ones? Sign me up!
@knifegrindersaustralia51583 жыл бұрын
Yes Scotty, CBN wheels in the video are pre-production trial wheels.

Вадим, здравствуйте. Подскажите где купить CBN-stone как у Вас на видео? Живу в Лос-Анджелесе

I still feel like the very tip of the edge on any grinding system is going to be burnt to a crisp. Manual stones are the only way you should be able to not burn the edge at all. Also DING..........

Oops, my mistake, guess my CRS kicked in early. Otherwise I would not have asked such a dumb question 😁
