The art style is fantastic. Reminds me of older anime. I'm still not onboard with the 3D animation style, though. It always just looks... off to me.
@AxisCorpsRep2 жыл бұрын
@@Wrencher_86 to be fair, imo it is acceptable to use 3d modelling software for things such as hard surfaces, one of the trickiest things in 2d illustration and animation (i assume, i dont animate) is keeping the consistency and proportion of 3d objects trough the changes of perspective, distance, depth of field and lens types a human is easier to animate than a pan around of complex machinery because on a human one can sometimes skip things and with the stylized anime proportions and use of flat colors, you can convey soft curves such as body parts much easier than the chassis of a car/plane/tank/mech/whatever. evangelion gets around this because their designs although do posses hard surfaces, they are largely organic looking so get to skip certain limitations from the medium whereas on a machine you cant simply not draw things if they are slightly off to the side or out of view, otherwise you will notice them inmediately, you can detect examples of what i mean by watching OG transformers cartoons, they are essentially animating boxes, but each body part since its (more often than not) a hard surface must twist and turn without changing the perspective of the original part. and sometimes it does and you can tell that the shape is diferent so long story short, yeah it will feel off, but its for the benefit of the detail increase and inmersion that it creates by having more faithful recreations due to the raw complexity that animating solid objects brings
@Wrencher_862 жыл бұрын
@@AxisCorpsRep That's... quite a lot. So, I feel it breaks the immersion because the way the characters, which are their own 3D element, interact with the environment is off. There's a bit of "slipping" in the actions of the characters relative to their surroundings. The detail on the characters is part of the art style that I like. But when you have two different elements interacting, and those interactions don't match up perfectly, it's going to trigger your brain to say, "hey, something's off here." If you want an example of the way this art style (which is an older, more detailed style of anime) works when the whole thing is 2D animated, go check out "Memories". Specifically "Magnetic Rose". It's this art style but everything is a 2D element. The characters feel like they're IN the scene instead of models that have been PLACED ON the scene. Someone who is better versed with animation and 3D effects could probably articulate that better. But that's the best I can do as a layman and casual anime fan.
@AxisCorpsRep2 жыл бұрын
@@Wrencher_86 hah yeah that's always been an issue with detailed backgrounds, not just 3d integration. in any situation where you have an anime ish style, if there are 2 objects in a place. and one will be moved or interacted with, you 100% will see that it has less detail than the one that wont move

Frightening how fast and precise the machine is. They're trying to put guidance lasers on it as well as anti-armor shots on it before it can track back on them from hundreds of meters. @tyvernoverlord53632 жыл бұрын
@@TimothyMark7 The muscle in Mjolnir is a piezoelectric material, we have such things but not in any application close to that. Iron Man has a series of Electromechanical and Electrohydraulic Actuators similar to that of the A350 and Boeing 787, but micro-scale. Which is why Iron Man makes a whirling sound when moving. Artificial Muscle, of which practical application is still years if not decades away, isn't required in either system. Thus the door to making a "Power Armored Exoskeleton" is a lot easier than we might think. I feel a lot of the failures of recent US DARPA and DoD initiatives come from lack of vision and also overthinking simple things. There are components between the 2 systems that are doable and when combined together, could make a really awesome weapons system.

Why apply effort when you can just release a stupid isekai with slide show animation and make the exact same money?
