This really emphasizes how much melody and texture Noel gets from those small boxy runs. I love his solos for their relative restraint that actually magnifies their massive sound. Thanks, Ant!

It's an interesting one isn't it? Part of me wonders due to the sheer number of guitar tracks maybe he was forced to make a simpler solo, but either way it sounds great! Wish Noel would take this song out of retirement like Liam!

Well said. Noel's solos are simple but the effect is always great. I can think of Cobain and Neil Young being in the same class. Plain solos but they mean so much, the feeling is really there...

Great lesson, Ant! Amazing how Noely G uses the same chords over and over to maximum effect. It’s like making music w a limited musical vocabulary but he’s a great songwriter. I dug the lesson as usual. U are a great teacher and I love how u break down the lead parts into smaller groups of notes and replay them a couple times. Excellent lesson!

Superb lesson Ant. Much appreciate all of your tutorials. You teach in a dead easy way with just the right amount of theory. The way you breakdown the lead bits is superb and when you demonstrate with the backing tracks it helps tons with the timing. Keep up the great work. Ive learned loads of Oasis songs from your channel (I consider myself no more than intermediate but Im even getting confidence in improvising on the lead bits as i get comfortable with the main bulk of them from your tutorials) Many thanks. Your work has many fans pal! By the way if you fancy a venture into some Ride songs...Im sure I wouldnt be the only taker :-)

Hi John no problem - I run that les Paul (2019 60s standard) through a blackstar HT-stage 60, as for pedals i was using the blackstar dept.10 dual drive, otherwise I use a TC electronics compressor to help with my clean sound and TC electronics noise gate to help with the amp hum. Reverb comes from the amp (also saves some cash). I also use a pedal that boosts the signal but I forget the name of it now haha

The song is basically an electric version of Wonderwall's chords
@thebetbetunderground9548
@thebetbetunderground9548 2 жыл бұрын
Yes it is but I personally prefer it to wonderwall. The guitar layers are insane. It's like Noel was doing shoegaze stuff with most of Be Here Now. Intense space rock vibe. It just sounds so massive. When you listen to it, it makes you really look up in the sky. This song is one of the "biggest" sounding songs I've ever heard. Outrageous in the best way possible. I absolutely love it...
@MedalionDS9
@MedalionDS9 2 жыл бұрын
@@thebetbetunderground9548 I don't get space rock vibes in this album, it's not spacey. It's simply bloated with long songs that repeat themselves too much, too many guitar dubs and layers of guitars... but no spacey vibe whatsoever. I like the album, but it definitely has issues

@MedalionDS9
@MedalionDS9 2 жыл бұрын
@@thebetbetunderground9548 Everybody has different ears... and different definitions for music genres. But I want to know how you think anything in this album defines as "Space Rock"... just because an album is heavily layered with guitar dubs, but no hinting of spacey sounds/tones or themes does not make it so. As for whether you enjoy an album more than me, that's called musical preference, and that's ok... we all don't have to think alike but given your definition, I have a hard time taking you seriously. I think what you meant to say the album may be psychedelic at times, and that is more in Oasis' wheelhouse of influences, but not any themes of outer space or sci-fi sounds.
