Buy a black rubber stall mat from Tractor Supply. Paint it white and you have a shoot and see target that will last for thousands of rounds. You just paint over the bullet holes with white spray paint. The mat is self healing. You can stick target dots or small bulls eye targets right to it.

Sounds interesting. I'll give it a try. Thanks.Donnie D

I made several of the cardboard and duct tape targets tonight and glued printable zombie targets in the center and I can't wait to try them out.. They look really cool in black and yellow especially for less than a dollar a piece. I did notice when i was buying the tape at Walmart that the yellow and red are 20 yards long and the other colors were only 15 yards for the same price so I stuck with the yellow. Thanks for sharing.

I shot a 45 but my friends shot everything from a 380 to an AR15 and the targets all performed flawlessly. I will make the zombies smaller on the next ones as the shots through the regular printer paper didn't show the ShootNC effect as well as the black areas did.

I love the kneeling targets Donnie. I am going to try to find some cheap ones a little bigger than this and cut them into Cowboy action shapes. The cardboard ones would work well too I recon... These are perfect ideas for the outdoor range where I go... they don't allow steel except in certain lanes they rent. What do you think is a good thing to hang'em too Donnie? I'd like to hang them various levels 3, 4 and 5 feet. ??? May just staple them to a stick?

MrZola1234 I sometimes use wire hooks and also my rarget rack has plywood with screws driven from the back, I just push the kneeling targets onto the screw points. Hope you enjoy the targets. Thanks.Donnie D

Hi Donnie, thanks for all your efforts and knowledge sharing! Since the foam knee pads come if various colors, have you tried just painting them without using duct tape?
@D1485217 ай бұрын
No, but the way they work is that the paint does not adhere well to the duct tape, and therefore flakes off, or flashes when the bullet strikes. You can try just painting the pad, but I don't think it will work very well.

Hello I’m experimenting with surrand wrap. got a clear glue, or clear elmers glue spread that on colored paper or poster board. Then flat black paint. Whole role surrand wrap dollar store kind cheap. Anyway good video I thought let u try that see if works (my dog won’t let me shoot when I want to) she chase bbs don’t dare try big guns. Lol. Maybe u get to it before I do let me know. I’ve had supplies few weeks now. Had death in family and other things pop up u know how it goes sometimes. Thanks I’ll let you know in few days.

Thanx, Donnie! What is the material that the kneeling pads are made of? I am planning a air rifle and .22 fun shoot, including a lot of people who own weapons but almost never go shooting, as well as a lot of young people. In my experience reactive targets wakes up the Riflemen in ordinary folks ;-) Do you perhaps know how to make the chalk coloured discs, for use with air rifles and .22's

Will it work to use bright yellow contact paper and apply that to the kneeling pad material and paint the contact paper black.
@D1485217 жыл бұрын
Not sure what you mean by contact paper. It will work with pretty much any surface that is smooth and slick enough to keep the paint from firmly bonding to it, so the paint flakes off fairly easily. Give the contact paper a try, and let us know how it does.

Heya Donnie, I put together one of these today and I could not get the duct tape to stick to the foam board. Is there any special tape you use? I ended up wrapping the tape the whole way around and then painting it up. Works perfectly but uses a LOT more tape in the process, and here in Australia the tape is kinda expensive. Thanks for the video though. Ben
@D1485219 жыл бұрын
Ben's Mis-adventures No, never had that problem. In fact, it can be a bit hard to remove when the tape gets shot up to the point you need to replace it. Could be the type of foam board you are using. There are so many different kinds. Good luck. Hope you can work it out.Donnie D
@BensMis-adventures9 жыл бұрын
Thanks Donnie, it could be the foam, it oes look the same as yours but may have a different texture. It has like a waffle type pattern on it. May be able to sand it off smooth.

If you're going to cover it with duct tape anyway, why not get one of those cheap, thick yoga mats in the sporting goods section and use that instead of a small kneeling mat? For about the same price you can cut it up and get 5 times the amount of targets.
