Thanks! Your model 25 shot tube mod was pretty awesome also.

Always amazed at your craftsmanship and attention to detail. I have a pretty good idea as to how you rough cut the wood, but no clue as to how you "finish" the parts? Cuts, curves, fittings, etc.
@RestOModDaisy2 жыл бұрын
Marv, That's another video added to the list. The curves are mostly eyeball work followed by hand work to see how it feels followed by more eyeball. Hard to descibe but doable by anyone willing to take a crack at it.

You have probably showed it before but I would like to see your first Daisy that would be awesome. my first BB gun was a power master 760 I sold it for $20 still kicking my tail LOL

I love the natural wood. I often have resorted to paint or one step stain for time saving but your work is great!

Thanks Russ. I loved the tommy gun video but I liked your Model 95 scout rifle you teased at the end of it even more.

@@RestOModDaisy believe it or not, except for bracket holding the scope, those are all Daisy parts. I'll have to cover that soon.

Absolutely Awesome!! Your craftsmanship and workmanship is absolutely amazing that is really really beautiful. Sometimes it’s just better to let the craftsman make the parts. What would you charge to do this for a late model red Ryder BB gun??

New here, so apologies for what is likely a dumb question (or three)... I've got a Daisy 450 that I found at a church yard sale for
@RestOModDaisy2 жыл бұрын
Captain Napalm, You have picked a doosie for a first Daisy product. I've never seen a Model 450 in the flesh but have seen it mentioned on the forums as other owners pursued issues you are describing. There is a thread over at the gatewaytoairguns forum that has a good bit of the info you're chasing. The 450 is a wide body and all the funky stuff with the 5 shot mgazine is going on well past the compression chamber. You should be able to dismount the plunger assembly with a regular mainspring compressor and get guts out of the back side to check your seals and airtube without to much trouble. Mark Ritter (Cobalt 327) was posting into it so it's worth a read as he's the Daisy parts guy.

Will the original wood that the gun came with turn out good I’m wondering
@RestOModDaisy2 жыл бұрын
Marc, Hard to say but unlikely. Daisy stocked 99% of the guns I've seen in Poplar which is a hardwood but does not have much in the way figure.

@@RestOModDaisy did you look to see if you had a rear sight for a model 99 I would be more than happy to buy it if you had one they are kinda hard to come buy around my neck of the woods

@@marcnissen578 Marc, No joy in the parts bins. Are you looking for the whole assembly or the insert?
@marcnissen5782 жыл бұрын
@@RestOModDaisy The Whole assembly the only thing I have it the screw that holds it to the gun I really do appreciate you looking for me my 99 is all original sling and it’s in beautiful shape but it’s kinda hard to shoot it with just the front sight this was gave to me by a friends father it was missing then and I’ve had it since 1981 in my gun cabinet ever since

Did you get the email I sent you about making stocks?
@aboveaveragebluesenjoyer99532 жыл бұрын
I have an idea, what if you cut down a new red Ryder or an old red Ryder and turned it into a Mare’s Leg? The short barrel would be hard for the feeding but there has to be some way to do it.
