Very timely, I'm getting ready to do a head gasket on a y7...couldn't decide...but now, I'll just pop in the ARPs when I can afford them. Keep up the good work.

Last hut on the right If your headgasket is bad I highly recommend replacing it before doing this install but this is a alternative if the headgasket is still in good shape.

Definitely up there as one of the better channels, u, 79th productions, boosted boys, cleetus McFarland to name a few, really good channel that deserves more recognition!!! Personally I think it's better than evvan shank's channel although I like some of his builds, b is for build is good also, can I recommend checking out Faye Hadleys current vid series with Danny the engine/machinist/engineer, really good info for budget builds/repairs, keep it going dude, also think MCM has lost its way now they have loads of money/sponsorship, builds have become far away from general Jo on the street builds, their first videos were excellent

Did this engine ever suffer head lift after this? Am considering doing head studs this way but unsure 😅 would you agree with this order? 1) remove singular head stud, starting in the middle 2) install arp stud hand tight 3) repeat with all 4) torque all down? Or do you swap step 3 and 4 and torque each one down as you install it...I think this is important to clarify coz if you're removing all stock bolts before torquing any new ones down then surely you'd want to start from outside heading in as not to warp the head
@dpg_creative3 жыл бұрын
Just to clarify the torque staging process, you pulled each stock bolt one by one and replaced it with the ARP bolt and torqued it to 15lbs? Then went back to each bolt in sequence and torqued it to 30lbs & then to 60lbs? Or did you torque each ARP bolt directly to 60lbs? Awesome video! Thank you!
@TexasHondaChannel3 жыл бұрын
Sorry i don't see a lot of older comments but the people of the internet have their ways of doing it but i have done it both ways, 1 at a time getting them snugged up then doing normal tq procedure and i have done remove all keeping head there then install and normal tq procedure. i would do the 30 then 60

If the pin inside the injector connector are the same you could have used a paperclip to swap the connectors in and kept things a bit cleaner.
