D16Y7 to "Y8" Manifold conversion + S2 Alpha TB

I show you how to make the connections to your new Skunk2 Pro series intake on a D16Y7 and the 66mm Alpha throttle body. I used the D16Y8 TB and Y8 gasket and not the provided one.

Bro i have the same intake manifold but i have the y7 thortle body. I want change to a skunk2 70m but my problem is. Iacv how works without the iacv?

I cant remember if 3 to 2 wire conversion works on stock ecu or not. I think just disconnect orange and swap the other two wires around at the ecu. I just run mine with none and so do the turbo people.

Why is there a vacuum line running from the water neck to the manifold?

If you mean that connection in the thumbnail it is apparently supposed to be that way. The one running between the IMF and the head is also like that.

It is designed for the Y8 style which is a vtec engine.

You just need to convert it to your new intake and use a skunk2 alpha throttle body I think I use a 67mm and you need a d16y8 throttle cable as well.

Them caps what did you delete ? I switch a y8 manifold to a skunk2 pro series plugs everything back up the same and got a idle surge

If you have an idle surge you most likely have an air leak somewhere.

The part where you say "my phone is upside down" are you talking about the tube hooked up to the black box or the pipe below it?

Right now have the IACV off the Y7 plugged in and tucked away. I have the IACV plated off on the intake manifold.

I have the same setup but i bought a new 2 wire IACV to bolt on. So i wired it up and now the idle is high and fluctuating quickly any idea how to fix the idle?

It could very well be the shape of the gasket you used with your throttle body if anything. I used a factory Y8 throttle body on mine I believe and not what came with my SKUNK2.

Made them private because KZbin recently changed their TOS. Ian McCollum got flagged several times and even I did for one. The guns aren't going anywhere the videos are still up (private) and they threatened to ban me just for comments I made around the time I made them private. They're getting too strict. I dont even run a catalytic converter but would say yes, though because it doesnt involve the exhaust or change anything emissions wise.
