D22 Navara Solid Axle Swap Ep.2

Second D22 SAS Episode, we dig into making room for welding and take our first steps at installing the D22 SAS Kit from Crawl Customs. I give a basic rundown on what is included in the SAS kit and what I have planned for the Nav.

Definitely keen to see this thing finished. Reckon i'll keep my d22 and sas it eventually. Maybe even a barra or LS. Love hate relationship with the thing at the moment.

There’s been a couple LS but the only Barra I’ve seen done is Matt Kings and you definitely wouldn’t be able to drive that around here without copping a defect. Be keen to see someone pull it off as they’re such a long motor 🤙🏻

Its a lot of effort but it will be worth it in the end, hopefully my videos are helpful for you when you change yours to solid axle

Interesting process, maybe should have changed the title to airbox and solid axle conversion. I skipped the airbox bit and enjoyed the explanation of the axle kit. Interested to see the rest of the conversion.

Depends on what equipment you have I was able to take mine out in about a day 👍🏻

Hey mate car isn't finished yet but I'm hoping to get back to it soon. I'm not sure if the kit is still in production so I cant say if they will be able to share information.

How will I go with engineering mate?

Best to find an engineer and explain to them what you want to do and what they need you to do for them to plate it. It took me a while to find an engineer who was willing to help me out. I called a few that said they would engineer it but only if they did all of the work in house. It is tricky but you will find one eventually.
