I used to work at the AMC theater in Emeryville, which is very close to Pixar studios. We would often have Pixar employees go to that theater whenever a big movie came out. One day I was working the concession stand and saw a few guys in business casual wear get in line to place an order. When it was their turn, one of them came forward to order for everybody else. As I was talking to him, I couldn't see exactly who he was since he was wearing a mask but I knew I recognized him from somewhere. When the group got their food, the guy pulled his mask down and said thank you. That's when i realized I was talking to Andrew Stanton.

What I'm thinking is that they're sort of like fully autonomous animatronic type toys using AI to control them and move around So I'm theorizing that theyre still normal toys but they're stuck in that phase where they're pretending to be inanimate because the AI systems are likely operating 24/7 to keep them in an "autonomous mode"pretty much forcing them to be stuck pretending to be a toy whilst their bodies are controlled against their will Sort of like a Michael Afton situation, kind of actually existential if you think about it

Hopefully they know what they’re doing and handle the topic of early set internet addiction well. Seeing the gang wrestle with slowly becoming irrelevant as kids interest and focus shifts onto electronics with every passing year could be very emotional. Especially given our long history with these characters. That being said… I really hope they use this movie first and foremost to undo most of what TS4 did to the franchise. . - Woody needs to get fixed with a new voice box (after getting gaslit into giving it to a psychopath who immediately failed at getting a kid with it, rendering the whole thing pointless). He also needs to return home to his family for good. - Buzz needs his dignity and leadership skills back (since they decided to make him an idiot in TS4) - Jessie deserves her third lead protagonist spotlight back after they ripped it from her, and gave it to girlboss Bo Peep. - Girlboss Bo Peep needs to learn the error of her ways, and realize how maliciously demeaning and cold she was to Woody throughout TS4, joining back up with the family at Bonnie’s - Bonnie’s mental skills and empathy need to be brought back to what they were in TS3, where she actually valued Woody and promised Andy she’d take care of the cowboy. - The OG crew (sadly minus Mr Potato head… rip) need to play a pivotal role instead of being relegated to rarely useful background characters. They have an opportunity to fix the everyone separated, and everything sucks ending of Toy Story 4. Abandoning your ride or die family for an emotionally abusive homeless girl isn’t exactly the ending I wanted for the franchise. Tbh 3 still has the perfect ending, but 4 killed that too. The least they could do with 5 is kill the ending of 4, and give the fans something more uplifting. Please Pixar, don’t drop the ball and validate the toxicity of TS4.

I’m definitely in favor of this movie happening, because I want to see what YTPs we get based on this film. Because the YTPs made out of the previous 4 movies made me laugh, and I can’t wait to see how much laughs a “Toy Story 5” YTP would give me.

Two good endings in a row with TS3 and TS4, the only satisfying ending for me will be Woody becoming Andy’s children’s toy that gets passed from generation to generation.

@@danmulholland1634 Toy Story 3's ending was awful. The toys should have been boxed in the attic. At first it seems sad, but then the box is removed years later and all the toys are given to Andy's children.

Toys Story 5 Should be the last movie with a perfect ending and I agree with Mindy Rickles that they should use Don Rickles voice in Toys Story 5 and I really hope they can also honor Estelle Harris with old records because it's less likey work to recast or remove Mr and Mrs Potato in Toys Story 5

I guess it depends what they have with them for example they have over 16 hours of Robin Williams voicing the genie prob depends on ifnits worth piecing it together and paying the families or just hire new people
