I just found my first Annihilus. I'm playing online solo. Eventually I hope to defeat the game with every class, but so far the only char who has actually defeated Hell Baal is my skellymancer. He is not set up for ubers or anything like that, he's just a magic find working stiff, supporting the other chars who are questing their way up through the game. And suddenly I run into a weird black Diablo who kills my 11 skellies in a few seconds. Takes me a few tries (and some googling) to figure out what is going on. I have missed the "Diablo walks the Earth" prompt. Hell, I didn't even know this could happen in solo online games. I don't dare to log off and then log on whith a char who might be better equipped to deal with something like this (my bonespear necro is almost at Hell Baal, I think he would have had a lot less trouble) because that destroys the game and the next char creates a new game. If I do that, I'm guessing that DiabloClone would be gone. Poof. My merc has open wounds, but he doesn't last long enough, and the skellies and revives don't last either, at the most I can get this Diablo down a few percentages before all my minions are dead. What do I do? So I find this advice that says DiabloClone isn't immune to Prevent Monster Heal. All my other really good gear is spread out on the other characters. The shared stash only has a few set items I haven't decided who should use yet. None of them has PMH. But the one item my skellymancer actually has in his stash is a an Edge bow. For gambling, you know? So I switch to Edge, resummon an army, and goes back to check if I can get DiabloClone down a bit, go summon more minions somewhere else, and then return to a DiabloClone with less than full health. It works, sorta. PMH does work, but only for a little while. (Maybe ... 20 minutes divided by 3?) If I die, he's reset. If I'm gone too long, he's reset. If I haven't actually hit him with any of my arrows (I'm lvl 87 and my AR is dogshit) then the next time I come back he's had enough time, and he's reset. All of this has time to happen. But after 2-3 hours of trying and trying and trying again, he goes down. I just had to tell someone, but my friends and family plays other games: they wouldn't get it. So here I am. Oh, and the Ani rolled 18/14/6. Not bad. Definitely a giant difference between that and No Ani. Cheers

I still have the LOD book at home after about 20 years. SOJs are used as a crafting formula to put a socket in a rare item. Idk if the formula still works, I imagine the developers did that so gamers would use up some SOJs

I always found it interesting even far after and years down the road when the servers weren’t being played as much with the community much smaller and not that many on we would still get games that would proc the event. We always thought that yes they did so the required selling and then maybe swapped to a random number generator to get the event proc automatically time to time…. Or at least it seemed that way.

this reminds me of a way that those RWT websites could make money. If they could find a way to duplicate the SoJ, they can use a small team to just dupe their SoJs, and continue to sell to a shop. the inventory can hold 40 rings, so they would only need 4 characters to sell the rings, and it would spawn across multiple games for who knows how many others that are waiting for the spawn. It isn't really far fetched considering at how fast websites like that pop up for just about any game.

Since there shouldn't be any soj duping in D2R, I'm genuinely baffled as to how often Uber Diablo spawns in MP. Hundreds of people rich enough that they can essentially delete a SOJ for a 1/100th of an increment that Uber diablo spawns. In 6 months of playing I've not seen a single SOJ, but I have 5 annihilus charms sitting in my inventory idle.

We all say the same thing it makes no sense. I have seen 2 days into ladder 3 Uber Diablo Spawns. Thats 75-150 SoJ's x3 Which is insane for day 2 Bots don't even account for that, the frequency of SoJ drops combined with the amount needed and the time interval allowed has got to be duping.

When I am successful myself at obtaining a Annihilus Charm through the online method perhaps. Fact of the matter is despite multiple attempts I have been unable to do so. Would rather be like the blind leading the blind.

Ha not an exaggeration Especially if you play on console and cannot view server to land on the hot one ~_~ I know..keep calm and carry on Edit: Very curious if anyone knows a better and or a good 1 in general for finding/coordinating Dclone on consoles (probably why prices still sky high? =/)

I play on plugy and killing that diablo clone is really really hard( i play summon druid weak i know ) cause me at leasst 10 full healing potion for the merc I jusst want to ask between diablo clone and pand-diablo which one is stronger( no spawning monsters cause i use plugy) thank you

I really depends on what you're looking for, You don't care about EXP. The XP roll can just be 5% for all you care. Resistances are very important if you need resistances but if you don't need resistances then who cares. Stats can be extremely important to be able to put on equipment and can help you have more health or give you the extra strength you need to equip enigma or something like that. In general, everybody wants a 20/20/10 But a 20/20/5 is pretty good as well

@@GGMentor interesting. Yeah I guess that makes sense. I got my second charm today and it’s 18/20/8. In general I have a difficult time to evaluate items sometimes. I shall hunt the perfect charm anyway for that moby dick energy.

A Soj Is often an easy trade for an Annihilus Charm. The Irony here is that you could potentially sacrifice a Soj and not get one or you could get 3 if you are diligent. So trading a Single Soj for a Single Anni isn't a bad trade.

@@bofygaming9672 yes it comes down to how the anni drops and what you do to get it. A Soj can buy you the ip address which can potentially lead you to several dclone spanws. Or you could get very unlucky and not get I to a game with dclone and get none.
