Don’t forget about bone necros dude the black cleft does next to nothing for pure magic casters. With the black cleft my Merc needs to kill magic immunes. Without it my Merc still needs to kill the magic immunes.

They should get a final boss in tz, just like upper, you have to kill mini bosses groups with all different immunities, and the final boss will spawn. This ppl will have to deal with all kind of immunities

cleft means split or severed; I don't quite understand why they chose that wording for the magic dmg. for the most part the naming of the others makes some sense. (shoulder shrug)

I mean the cube works too, I think it's ironic that some of the magic immunes are also known for massive magic damage in return, so this charm really is double edged.

This one isn't too bad with a poison and bone necro. Bone prison and bone wall will block the black stars and the white attack from oblivion knights. Bone spear is easy enough to dodge. I've never been that hurt by bone spirit cast from oblivion knights.

The two main magic damage casters that will kill you are bone spear snakes, and horadrim dark stars

merc on my hammerdin hit 12k so hammerdin dont have immune because the concentration aura

use cold lightning and fire with a infinity merc on a tal rash sirc. orb hydra chain lightning or nova gogo

I think there is one good thing about this charm is high level so you can try re-roll it for something else

Wbt a full bone spear necro using lower resist or does lower resist not lower magic resistance?

You guessed it correctly, lower resistance does not effect magic damage

there are no minus to magic resist items so whats the point again?? how can i make my bone necro's bonespear do way more damage.... thats right I cant, useless charm lol

I believe that was part of the point. But it's "fair" since it's still doing the same thing the other sundered charms are, by removing the immunity but also reducing the character's own resistance to the same element - in fact, it's already a reduced penalty since the other elemental resistance penalties are -75, not -50. The reduced penalty is likely due to the very few options for countering the negative magic res (only one being the Safety crafted shield. But really, magic users never struggled with magic immunes like all the other builds stuggled with immunities to their damage elements, so again I think the point was to offer the same effect as the other sundered charms but that effectively makes the magic one rather useless since magic's always been in a league of its own in terms of very few immune monsters to it and very few +magic resistance options for builds.

@@-ellimist- yet it makes it useless better to not add a item to the game no one will use we have enough of them, by removing penalty or making maybe not magic and maybe neg all res by 25 would make it at least useable.

@@-ellimist- IT will never be useful being very little places it helps despite your merc can Handle it, baal room wave 2 is only useful spot. Yet it hurts you in more places no one will use it other than swaping in out in baal wave 2, and than it would be annoying to use, unless you really need the band aid. Not to mention other skills besides hammers with magic also wouldn't use it.
