Just got this and replacing it for my Zealadin that was using the set jagged star. Now I effectively doubled my damage with this. Thanks for the tips. Will be on the look out for a better weapon.

With a bit of luck, blizz will make charge on eth items reparable but not the item itself. Also rly hope that in their rework they make the SSD viable with weapon other then ribcracker. I'de rly like to see fleashrender work well on SSD.

I never thought about the charges on eth demon limb being non-repairable. Does kind of make it feel lame having the rep mod.

I used an Ethereal Demon Limb on my Blade Fury Sin near the end of Nightmare, with a non-Ethereal Demon Limb on weapon swap for Enchant. I would've found use for it earlier were it not for its level-63 requirement. The two main things I liked about it were its massive built-in Life Leech and the ease of socketing a Nef rune for Knockback. Like you said, the value of the Ethereal Demon Limb is undermined by its rivals, namely Oath and Kingslayer, which are available much earlier in your character's development. On the tail end, an Ethereal Demon's Arch will bring your Demon Limb's combat career to a rapid denouement at level-68, but by then you should be safely past NM Diablo and Baal, where the Limb's +123% Damage to Demons does come in handy. However, given NM D & B's lack of physical DR, Kingslayer's Crushing Blow edges out Demon Limb's Dmg to Demons. In retrospect, I could've just gone ahead and used up my Ethereal Limb's 20 Enchant charges, as I most likely would've retired it before they ran out.

6:06 i think you have to tell the people that ethereal weapons can be recharged with a cube recipe, so its not totally bad.

Currently using this, at 200 damage, and as much as I can tank most Hell mobs, it lacks in damage compared to runeword swords flails etc.

It will always been an intermediary weapon, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

this is awesome, just so bothersome to switch then put back then switch each time since my amazon has something more important on her weapon swap. have to do this every couple of minutes, fine for CS runs and maybe even baal runs but really annoying when grinding. emilio loves it, tho...

The enchant is good for any melee fighter. You don't even need to use the weapon.

All uniques need a makeover. They need to hold their own against top runewords to be viable.

@@Bowazon generally agree, I'd still like to see the gap closed more. As a long time player with all the top runewords wouldn't mind seeing some uniques compete better just for more variety.

@@gorgeousgeorge5173 Runewords sort of ruined D2 in a way. Pre-expansion was a cool time to play because you always knew who had what based on their look

Game is easy already even if you play without runewords. If you make the uniques stronger you have to make monsters stronger.
