I mean it's one of the best items in the game, but I literally never use it because hammerdin needs those caster frames from spirit, tesladin wants dream, pvp wants exile, zealer wants phoenix. So it kind of works as a middle of the road item, despite having insane stats.

The new FoH/Smiter from 2.4 seems like an ideal use case. No need to crank FCR because of the casting delay (you only need 75% FCR--HotO, Trang's, Caster Ammy--for maximum efficiency). High investment in Holy Shield means you can have max block at relatively low dex. The high all-res lets you devote other items (Helm, Boots, Armor) to the blend of CB/OW and +Skills the build calls for.

Do "The Gnasher" (hand axe I think)! I love using it when twinking low level characters, and if I find two I upgrade one. That carries melee characters pretty far and slays all the bosses

It's a good zone, two super uniques Griswold and rakinishu, as well as a guaranteed champion pack and several elites. It's a pretty decent place to mf.

I've bought an ethereal one today at 1.14d ladder for Sur rune that is quite cheap in fact. Now I need "merely nothing" called Zod rune to make it indestructible ;)

I mean you socket your item, insert Zod, clean that Zod with Hel + portal scroll and then insert any other rune, gem or jewel but Indestructible property still remains.

Beat duriel last night with one of my characters on their quest run, nightmare, and he drops 5 town portals.. as a first drop!!! I just stared at the tv for about ten seconds in disbelief. I just found my first one ever on SP with a cold/fire sorc by killing Achmel The Cursed in Hell during my first Baal run [on LOD PlugY]. Been looking for this for many years now. Gotta new Matriarch and something nice for my clvl 96 Pally.

Thanks for this video. I'm currently getting stuck in Act 3 Hell difficulty with my Zealadin and looking for ways to upgrade the gear. Need to find a better weapon too as I'm using the Druid Set Mace. Overall he needs a gear up. My Merc is surviving and dealing more damage than I am and it's embarrassing! lol

Weapon issues are often a problem or melee characters. Because the majority of your damage is coming from your weapon not from your skills. A way to get around this is for the time being is you could switch to a spec that does not rely so heavily on your weapon. A good weapon to try for is baranaras star. It's relatively easy to get and will carry you through hell easily

Hey man, late comment here but this is your first video I've watched, anyway just wanted to point out it looks like you're playing in HDR which looks washed out when screen captured, you should turn HDR off to record. Maybe you've already realized that by now though, or maybe that's just how you have your brightness settings, just thought I'd mention it anyway. Thanks for the video!

@@edwarren7022 it's a fairly nice sword sanctuary is an aura that paladins have and it actually breaks physical immunities vs undead. Combined with a nice increase attack speed and also the magic damage its a rather nice weapon

Can I request the demon machine (chu-ko-nu). The explosion can recieve the enchant damage buff from enchant, and it having Pierce built in is fantastic. I use it currently on my archer Enchantress. Who is always wearing a treachery for IAS, venom, and fade

Haha, mine's also using Treachery, mostly for the defensive bonuses from fade. Stormshield + Fade = 50% DR and I can actually get decent resistances with my bow out.

I prefer to have the Extra resistance, or to use the socket for offensive reasons like Increased attack speed to hit a specific breakpoint.

Spirit is more for caster and this would be more for melee but you can use either for both depending on your resistance and block needs.

You can't reroll a rare guilded shield not enough spaces in the cube. Requires 6 perfect skulls to reroll a rare

A lot of people do Zod Ethereal Herald Of Zakarum Shields, Believe it or not Zod Runes are not really that rare or valued and the use of one in something like this isn't off the charts.

@@gmansupreme5139 finding them is not the only consideration. Jah runes for instance drop more often then zods or Chams but hah runes are considerably more rare and valued because of all the recipes they are used in. So despite zods being more difficult to find they have less uses and are easier to trade for. You could probably trade a vex or one tier higher for a zod any day. I have found 4 vex runes since launch.
