D5 any% (NG+) in

A speedrun of the new game plus (restarting the story while keeping your items, units, etc) category of Disgaea 5. The leaderboard for this can be seen here:

Apparently my mic failed to record, but I didn't say much anyway.
I fumbled a bit with some menus, so there's still time to save. I should also practice the Killidia fight some more. However a lot of time was saved compared to my 17:21 by:
Generally selecting stages faster (which I was a little cautious about before as trying to do so too early results in redoing a previous stage, which wastes a run-killing amount of time).
Using a custom base to start closer to the ep 4 Prinny location (though some of that time is lost again by having to jump back in-bounds).
Using a gun normal attack instead of Comet Disaster to kill the 6-5 and 8-5 bosses (an idea taken from DisgaeaFan77's runs of this same category).
Another change was giving Lock Eyes to my units to counteract the Sandcano Netherworld effect (so I didn't have to deal with the extra miss chance).
I also deleted most of the unneeded units and items, in case it made any difference to loading times. I haven't confirmed if this actually matters though.
The strange-looking NPC placement is to place the Dimension Guide and the ep 2 Prinny close together and close to where the ep 4 yellow Prinny spawns.

Hell yeah! Glad to see you posting. I’m currently playing and just got all my unique characters to max sub class and extract stats. I’m about to dive into item leveling, Eclipse Power stat grinding, farming rank 40 weapons, etc. Do you have any tips for those (particularly for item leveling because it seems so daunting)?

I wouldn't worry about specifically farming Eclipse Power as it's really slow. Just stick Eclipse Power on anyone who you're going to clear mystery rooms and/or defeat item bosses with, and just consider whatever stats you get as a bonus. I'd suggest you work on a non-weapon item first - units have 3 slots for those and any dupes are useful to any of your units. Carnage Hercules' Armor (stolen from the Item God 2 of a Carnage Aegis Shield) is the fastest to soft-cap (i.e. get to its default caps) when including HP. Carnage Barefoot X (stolen from the Item God 2 of a Carnage Vernier Thruster) is often considered the best item to max due to being tied for highest movement, but would take about 3x as much training bonus (so 3x as many item boss kills) and would also require a 50k single-stat innocent for each non-SPD stat. Item God 2 replaces the next Item God (floor X00 boss) seen after the item reaches level 80+, and if you want to Gency out to save you should do so on the floor before the IG2. Use the Theif's unique evility, buff your HIT, debuff the IG2's SPD (e.g. with adjacent Shroom/Succubus units), and try to steal from behind. For item leveling I'd suggest checking my vids on farming kill bonus with either - Supreme Curry + Murmur of Rage - Comet Disaster I also have a vid covering the various aspects of maxing an item.

@@1cortar Glad I could help. I've considered 6 and 7, but I don't feel like I have much to contribute. I don't feel like I'm on top of things the same way as 5, nor do I feel like I'm able to significantly refine existing ideas. I might make guides at some point anyway though just to make sure they exist outside of pinned discord messages. I do have a vid of me beating 6's Rak Baal, so that's the closest thing for now. If you meant speedrunning 6 or 7 (since this is on a speedrun vid) then any current speedrunning plans I have are also still only for 5. Also don't hold your breath on that either - as people have pointed out, my uploads can be very sporadic.
