Hi, your video has inspire me to have this Aquaponics project during MCO3.0. Thanks ! I have few Qs 1. for tilapia tank, is there a minimum tank size ? 2. Grow bed, any specific size and Height to best work with Bell Siphon ? 3. What is the Bell Siphon measurement vs the size (height) of the grow bed ? 4. can I cascade multiple Grow beds ? Parallel or Serial ? Thanks for this great video !!!
@DIYGARDENWITHBB3 жыл бұрын
Hi Albert thanks for watching. 1-In my opinion 50 gallon and above, you can use plastic barrels Plastic Barrels A popular, low-cost option many early aquaponics gardeners have used is the 55-gallon plastic barrel, in order to use 55-gallon barrels for your system, you’ll need to cut them Grow beds are usually created by cutting the barrels in half lengthwise. Fish tanks can be created by cutting out the end containing the bungholes, leaving the sturdy ring in place to provide structural integrity Once you’ve cut the barrel, you may find the plastic begins to sag and deform. It is common to support the base of the barrel with boards. You can also screw the cut edge to something (like the half-barrel next to it) to prevent sagging 2-A grow bed is any tray, tube, or tank in which your plants grow. However, deep grow beds will produce more vigorous plants, yielding harvests roughly 20 percent larger than shallow trays Aquaponics grow beds should be about 12 inches deep. This gives adequate room for almost any root system 3-An auto-siphon is an automatic way to quickly drain a grow bed once the water level has reached the desired level. Auto-siphons don’t have any moving parts, so they don’t need electricity. 4- both can its depend on your system design. Here is the system updates kzbin.info/www/bejne/aHK7q2mFrsSNndk.

I answered and said, "If I have found favor in thy sight, O Lord, show this also to thy servant: whether after death, as soon as every one of us yields up his soul, we shall be kept in rest until those times come when thou wilt renew the creation, or whether we shall be tormented at once?" 76 He answered me and said, "I will show you that also, but do not be associated with those who have shown scorn, nor number yourself among those who are tormented. 77 For you have a treasure of works laid up with the Most High; but it will not be shown to you until the last times. 78 Now, concerning death, the teaching is: When the decisive decree has gone forth from the Most High that a man shall die, as the spirit leaves the body to return again to him who gave it, first of all it adores the glory of the Most High. 79 And if it is one of those who have shown scorn and have not kept the way of the Most High, and who have despised his law, and who have hated those who fear the Most High -- 80 such spirits shall not enter into habitations, but shall immediately wander about in torments, ever grieving and sad, in seven ways. 81 The first way, because they have scorned the law of the Most High. 82 The second way, because they cannot now make a good repentance that they may live. 83 The third way, they shall see the reward laid up for those who have trusted the covenants of the Most High. 84 The fourth way, they shall consider the torment laid up for themselves in the last days. 85 The fifth way, they shall see how the habitations of the others are guarded by angels in profound quiet. 86 The sixth way, they shall see how some of them will pass over into torments. 87 The seventh way, which is worse than all the ways that have been mentioned, because they shall utterly waste away in confusion and be consumed with shame, and shall wither with fear at seeing the glory of the Most High before whom they sinned while they were alive, and before whom they are to be judged in the last times. 88 "Now this is the order of those who have kept the ways of the Most High, when they shall be separated from their mortal body. 89 During the time that they lived in it, they laboriously served the Most High, and withstood danger every hour, that they might keep the law of the Lawgiver perfectly. 90 Therefore this is the teaching concerning them: 91 First of all, they shall see with great joy the glory of him who receives them, for they shall have rest in seven orders. 92 The first order, because they have striven with great effort to overcome the evil thought which was formed with them, that it might not lead them astray from life into death. 93 The second order, because they see the perplexity in which the souls of the unrighteous wander, and the punishment that awaits them. 94 The third order, they see the witness which he who formed them bears concerning them, that while they were alive they kept the law which was given them in trust. 95 The fourth order, they understand the rest which they now enjoy, being gathered into their chambers and guarded by angels in profound quiet, and the glory which awaits them in the last days. 96 The fifth order, they rejoice that they have now escaped what is corruptible, and shall inherit what is to come; and besides they see the straits and toil from which they have been delivered, and the spacious liberty which they are to receive and enjoy in immortality. 97 The sixth order, when it is shown to them how their face is to shine like the sun, and how they are to be made like the light of the stars, being incorruptible from then on. 98 The seventh order, which is greater than all that have been mentioned, because they shall rejoice with boldness, and shall be confident without confusion, and shall be glad without fear, for they hasten to behold the face of him whom they served in life and from whom they are to receive their reward when glorified. 99 This is the order of the souls of the righteous, as henceforth is announced; and the aforesaid are the ways of torment which those who would not give heed shall suffer hereafter." 100 I answered and said, "Will time therefore be given to the souls, after they have been separated from the bodies, to see what you have described to me?" 101 He said to me, "They shall have freedom for seven days, so that during these seven days they may see the things of which you have been told, and afterwards they shall be gathered in their habitations." 102 I answered and said, "If I have found favor in thy sight, show further to me, thy servant, whether on the day of judgment the righteous will be able to intercede for the unrighteous or to entreat the Most High for them, 103 fathers for sons or sons for parents, brothers for brothers, relatives for their kinsmen, or friends for those who are most dear." 104 He answered me and said, "Since you have found favor in my sight, I will show you this also. The day of judgment is decisive and displays to all the seal of truth. Just as now a father does not send his son, or a son his father, or a master his servant, or a friend his dearest friend, to be ill or sleep or eat or be healed in his stead, 105 so no one shall ever pray for another on that day, neither shall any one lay a burden on another; for then every one shall bear his own righteousness and unrighteousness." 2 Esdras 2:31 ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,'''''

Hi there ! thanks for watching I did a small research and I wrote for you this article from serval sources. I hope can help A Squirt of Water: One of the best pest control measures is to get rid of the bugs with water from a hose or spray bottle. You can use water to dislodge many caterpillars, aphids, and other nasties. At the very least, this will stop the bugs from munching on your plants while you grab something more powerful to keep them away. You can grab the grubs after you spray them off your plants and feed them to your fish. Garlic Fire Spray You can make garlic fire spray by blending 20 to 30 cloves of garlic and 5 to 6 hot chili peppers together in a couple of quarts (or liters) of water with a large spoonful each of salad oil and dish detergent. Filter out the remaining chunks and pour the liquid into a spray bottle. The small amount of detergent you use in this solution will not harm your fish. Bugs hate the taste of garlic, and the oils in the chili peppers burn both insects and four-legged pests. The vegetable oil slows evaporation of the garlic and chili essences, and the dish detergent helps the spray stick to leaves. You can spray the garden every few days until the pests are gone and then again after rains or every couple of weeks to keep them away. Diatomaceous Earth: Diatomaceous earth (DE) is a white powder made from the silica skeletons of single celled algae. The silica skeletons have incredibly sharp edges on a scale that damages worms and insects. The sharp edges can cut slugs and worms, irritating them and potentially cutting them. Additionally, the dry crevices in the powder absorb the waxy coating on bugs, causing them to crack and dry out. Even if the damage isn’t fatal, DE can discourage bugs from bothering your plants. Products that contain DE are regulated by the Environmental Protection Agency, so make sure you read any cautions that come with purchased DE to ensure you use it properly. Beer: beer is as old as farming and is the most popular alcoholic drink, bar none. Luckily, pests like slugs and snails love it too. Slugs love a moist environment, and an aquaponic garden must seem like slug heaven. You can lure them to their deaths by putting a shallow container of beer out in the garden for them. The slugs will flock to the beer and drown. Bug Zappers If a bug is attracted to light, a bug zapper will kill it. These electronic devices emit a blue glow that attracts bugs. When a bug gets close, an electrical field kills it. A great thing about a bug zapper is that dead bugs generally fall below the bug zapper. You can therefore use a bug zapper to both kill bugs and supplement the feed your fish get.

A bit late to the party, but may I ask what kind of material you put in that water filter? is the usual material (like activated carbon, bioball) for fishtank filter good enough?

Hi, how to get nitrate in the system? my system cant produce nitrate but only nitrite.
@DIYGARDENWITHBB3 жыл бұрын
Hi there! Your nitrifying bacteria not doing their job, Nitrifying bacteria convert nitrite into Nitrate. Nitrate is what you want. Nitrate is the primary source of nutrition for your plants and can be tolerated well by fish in concentrations much higher than either nitrite or ammonia. The bacteria that eat nitrite are also happiest between 70° and 80°F, and they can die if the temperature drops below 50°F or rises above 100°F. You’ll never have to actually interact with nitrifying bacteria. They’ll show up and do their job, like a silent, invisible work force. As long as ammonia and nitrite are nearly zero and nitrate is present, the bacteria are in place and doing their job. If your system is perfectly balanced, the plants will be consuming the available nitrate, so you may get readings at or near zero for ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate.

@DIYGARDENWITHBB3 жыл бұрын
Hi there ! Normally you need to test the Ammonia and the nitrate and nutrition in your water , when you see the ammonia reading is 0 you can remove and change the water , add your fish . My self I removed them after one week .
