DA Theory: Flemeth's Daughters & Old God Souls

What is Flemeth/Mythal planning? Why does she need the soul of the old god? What role will Morrigan play? Will Flemeth's other daughters play a role? I theorize on what Flemeth may be planning to do with the old god souls and how her daughters may play a part.

@@crimsonwolf210 If think Yavana is usually not considered as much as she should in the DA lore. I really hope we will hear more from her in the next game (being in Antiva city and close to the Tellari Swamp). If what you say is true, because she might have / be the keeper of the soul of an old god, she might still be alive, in a form or another. Or maybe, maybe... The "old gods" are just different aspects of Mythal. But I might be to far off hahaha

In Tolkien's Silmarillion the Valar were there at the beginning of the Earth's creation. They were part of the chorus that sang the Earth into being. As such they hold a large bit of the fate of the Earth in their minds. They know parts of the future of the Earth's evolution. As such they have a certain role to play in that evolution because they sang it into being at the beginning. I think Flemeth is collecting old god souls in order to know what to do in the future. In order to carry out an evolutionary role in the fate of Thedas. Just as she played a role in the Hero of Ferelden's story and Hawke's story - which led to the unleashing of Corypheus and the Inquisitor's story. I dont think Solas is controlling her as much as both of them are being controlled by fate. They are acting as agents of fate or evolution. They are intervening to fulfill the song that was sung at the beginning- the "calling". The next phase of the evolution is coming. What form it will take may involve the intervention of other avatars, other than Solas or Flemeth: Fen Harel or Mythal.

Love that the subtitels can't handle Flemeth's name and instead calls her "feminine" and "Plymouth". While Mythal become "McDonalds" and "methyl". 😀

I think Solas got his vengeance when he put up the Veil. Mythal/Flemeth is still looking for justice. We should remember that the female of are more antagonistic when riled. If Mythal is taking the power of the Old Gods to power the mirrors, then their power will be bound to that mirror, I think.

I think he may have got some revenge when he sealed the elven gods but he didn’t necessarily want to create the veil since it sealed off the elves immortality. So now I think he wants to kill the elvanuris & restore elf immortality

Maybe. I'll admit, I hadn't thought of that. I think he wanted to get rid of their immortality and needed the time to let those stories become myths so that the Elves would forget their old allegiances. If he can get rid of the elves/First Children who killed Mythal then the elves will have no one to follow but he and Mythal.

So solas trapped old gods but they tricked magisters to free them (but solas prevented their escape putting them into blighted dimension so they wont have clear minds) even after release they couldnt be goods but blighted dragons . And as hakkonites belives slaying god in dragon form will help him resurect and be free. So mythal prevent them from ressurecting by collecting their souls. But how does she bind those souls and what she will do with them ?

Not possible. Urthemiel's soul can be destroyed by a Grey Warden in Origins. So Flemeth wouldn't have the soul in that case, and thus it is not what she sent through the eluvian. Also, all previous archdemons were slain by Grey Wardens who also died to cancel out the old gods' souls. So no, every old god soul has been obliterated except perhaps Urthemiel's and that's based on player choice. Also, Razikale and Lusican still exist. As for the connection to the evanuris, I doubt it. With two old gods still slumbering, it would take decades or even centuries for those souls to be released. Our fight with the evanuris will likely come in DA5, which will likely take place before the end of the Dragon Age. The only time the Dark Ritual could have been tried before is the Third Blight in which Toth was slain. This is only possible if the Warden who struck the final blow died immediately after doing so, as Weisshaupt likely has that Warden's remains in a tomb commemorating him or her. And Garahel definitely died in the Fourth Blight. The First and Second were before Flemeth's time. She was around for the Third, but did she actually participate? I don't think BioWare put any thought into the Dark Ritual's origins. They only thought it up as a way out for the Ultimate Sacrifice. It wasn't even their first idea. The first draft was to have a special sword that could slay the old god soul and protect the Warden, but BioWare thought that solution was too easy. So the Ritual was thought up instead. I think if Flemeth knew the Dark Ritual soon after receiving Mythal, she would have used it in the Fourth Blight. Thus Garahel wouldn't have died soul-cancelling the archdemon.

Um, nope, it's been proven that's they're underground until tainted, then transfer their soul to the Grey Warsen that kills them, at which point both souls are destroyed. That's why Keiran acts as though he is tranquil.
