Filmfare awards are meaningless awards generally given to the highest bidder. It's very unlikely that a true artist will win a filmfare award based ones diligence. In the 70,s songs such as Nafrat Ki Duniya which even Kishore couldn't sing were not even nominated let alone win. There are songs of Mohd Rafi which were not even considered for nominations. Songs films such as Heer Ranjha, Khilona, Aap aaye Bahaar Aayi, Mehboob Ki Mehnd, Yaadon Ki Baraat, Pratigya, Laila Majnu, Amar Akhbar Anthony, Dharam Veer, Jaani Dushman, Sargam, Suhag, were way ahead of their contenders yet never even considered.

I wish health and happiness to all the Rafi Lovers and Sangeet lovers for showing their love for the great soul of this mortal world...Md Rafi Saheb was a great human par excellence and his singing talent and skill absolutely met with his superb human quotient .......all through his stay in the tinseltown, he lived a very simple life away from the limelight...he was a true embodiment of love, kindness, compassion and cooperation. He was an obvious example of a lotus in muddy waters.....he was a flagbearer of true Indianness.... His innocence and angelic attitude makes him apart from all others in the industry....actually he belonged to the community of sages....he served the society through his soulful songs of varied genres....he treated our restless minds and souls, he comforted us by his soothing tunes..... 'Saada Jeevan Uchch Vichaar' was his USP as a human and his talent needs no words to be conveyed....in fact one can't truly and fully described his divine singing talent and skills...he was just only one of his kind.... flawless, superb, incomparable .....He is far above awards and recognition, he is a Vishwa Ratna and will remain there alone forever ( in his category).... I request you, dear bro Jawed to make the initiative as you are very actively involved your mission.....
