I was born & raised in Gainesville, FL. and still live here. Gator fans/admin, etc... was told "we need the ALL-1-FACILITY in order to compete for championships." Well, since the inception of the very cool "football only apartments and work out rooms," these Gators have NEVER LOOKED "SOFTER!" They're spoiled & living off of the past accomplishments of "REAL GATORS!" This was the most "embarrassed" I've been as a "Gator fan" since the Nebraska game (Natty game) at end of '95 football season. Coach Spurrier "made up for it" with a "National Championship" the next season in 1996. Florida (Danny Wonderful) won the Heisman Trophy and its 1st ever "Natty." So can Coach Billy Napier match that? I don't see it happening, unfortunately for Gator fans.

Linebackers and safeties, not the D-Line. The D-Line needs more gap discipline as evidence by all of those QB runs, but it was largely the backers and safeties. That's funny. The season just started, and you clowns are already talking off of your azzes. As the seasons, meaning from last season to the next 10 years, the elite schools will still remain elite. The schools who have traditionally ended up fighting for the major bowl appearances, and national championship placement, will continue to be the same teams. Yes, teams are losing their 2nd and 3rd string players to other schools after the first or second year of attendance, but the teams are also not investing as much foundation building on those players also. So, the more elite teams will slide by by drafting raw talent, and make it to the finish line puttering, but still at the finish line.

It's no different than AAU football or even basketball. The players are coached to win that season; not coached to hone foundation of the position. So for NCAA level football, you could end up with a 3rd year player, with 1st year player's foundation. And now you're rushing to get him up to snuff. And if he's pretty much maxed his potential, you're kinda stuck with him until he quits, or can't make the cut the next season.

Dabo's days are numbered. With ZERO starts via the transfer portal since its inception, it's clear that Dabo's old school ways of coaching are truly outdated. I saw absolutely nothing out of them against a Georgia team that was missing a few key players. Granted, it was still a very good Georgia team even with the few missing starters. However, Clemson was thoroughly outplayed especially in the second half. Even with the low scoring first half it didn't appear the game was that competitive. I think if you see another 3 or 4 loss season for Clemson, you will see a mass exodus of players in the offseason. And, with that being said, I don't see Dabo being successful in getting transfers to commit to Clemson should he finally realize he has to go there. In truth, I don't see him keeping his coaching job with another 9-3 or 8-4 season. His coaching style and ways are outdated, and I think that is going to be his undoing with the program. College football has become a what have you done for me lately atmosphere. And, quite frankly, he hasn't done a whole lot since his two championship runs. That's the reality of it all like it or not.
@Dejusticed14 күн бұрын
I am old enough to have seen many many bad seasons and complete irrelevance from clemson. I don't understand firing a championship coach. Just goes to show how spoiled so many fans are. Its honestly a turn off from the sport when you are looking on the outside in of the sports and don't get to pay attention to them often. If this is the reality of sports, I might be completely done with them.

Thank god in heaven they didn’t go after him for the bama job so many people a couple years ago were saying when Saban leaves Dabo is the guy 😂 thank goodness they were wrong I can’t imagine bama looking as bad as Clemson did on Saturday. Just embarrassed for them man they were the best team besides bama for years and now they can’t even be competitive against good teams. Really tragic.

Building a program doesn't happen overnight??? Seems like a lot of ppl wants Deion to do just that.
@wubuck7914 күн бұрын
No, they just want the hype and all the loud talk out of Deion and Colorado to stop until they’ve actually done something impressive.
@thespadestable14 күн бұрын
@@wubuck79 - The CU fanbabies do a whole lot of memory selection moving of the goalpost. Deion's actions are pretty much clear; he's all about the stats of his sons and Travis Hunter in order to try and get them into the NFL. Deion would rather slave drive those three, even if it means getting them injured to where it would kill their chances of making it into the NFL, instead of moving the ball around. Last season was pretty much parental abuse, because Deion instructed Sheduer to do his best not to throw the ball out of bounds in order to inflate his passing percentages, because thrown passes count as pass attempts, and sacks don't.
@caseydangar441414 күн бұрын
No, it's deion that said he was gonna do that. If you follow deion then you know his "now" phrase. He says he doesn't have time and has to win "now". Remember, he started saying that "we coming" and told the team "I'm coming and I'm bringing my luggage and it's louis". And then in the game after winning the first 3 games he said " we aint coming, we here". In an interview he said he aimed to win the conference last year and then this year said he got the guys and staff to win the big12 and get in the playoffs. Lol it's not people not understanding that it takes time to build a program. It's deion and his rabid fans not understanding that fact. But in today's football, you can absolutely turn a program around in a year or 2. Coaches with far less influence and status than deion have done it. But to sustain success you have to recruit the high-school ranks and develop them and deion flat out refuses to do it
