If I recall correctly, I believe the Portuguese rule in 1961, Goa was placed under military administrations headed by Kunhiraman Palat Candeth as lieutenant governor. On 8th June 1962, military rule was replaced by civilian government when the Lieutenant Governor nominated an informal Consultative Council of 28 nominated members to assist him in the administration of territory and handed over Dabolim Airport to the Military. Till the Goa government form the Navy will take care.

Churchill fooled South in name of opposing Mopa by creating Save Goa (SG) party. Ultimately his SG merged with Congress and he became PWD minister. He then forgot agitation against Mopa and now quiet on Dabolim and supporting BJP.

Mopa : if look see is advanced airport. You feel as if you in Sao Paulo or LA airport . All quickly quickly movements of luggage, etc. It is BIG also.
