I’m sorry, coy and won a road playoff game year one with minimal talent. Entire team gets hurt in 2023, team still fought for him and they went 3-3 in the division which is an improvement from 22. The idea he’s on the hot seat is for people who just want something to talk about. No substance in my opinion. This is where the New York media pisses me off, Bob Salah and their gm have done absolutely nothing in their time and nobody seems to care, Dabol loses multiple quarterbacks, the entire oline, has his d coordinator go into business for himself and also 3 different kickers go down due to injury and still beat Green Bay at home on Mnf, competed with the rams at home down the stretch last year with Taylor and competed with Philly in the first game and beat the hell out of them in week 18 while they were trying to clinch the division on our turf and people are silly enough to question him because he’s a hot head? Mind you jets fans thought that’s what they were getting in Salah. Get real.

Back to the well again...they covered this possibility last year TWICE....at one point both guys thought Daboll might be fired last year and again cited his temper. Daboll had a good first year, lost his starting qb 6 games in last year...there isnt a flame anywhere near his seat.

Year one Dabes let’s inexperienced OC call plays while he adjusts to the HC role. They’re evaluating while also showing what the staff is capable of producing. We get some close Wins early and are then in the hunt for the division. Weakness have been hidden, but noise is building about paying players due to the rare excitement. Games are called straight, players are exposed, and the losing streak starts. Unexpectedly they’re still in the hunt, productive vs Vikings, productive Wins vs Colts, and expectations start. Losing streak again, Win the Vikings rematch in playoffs, and lose 3x’s in 4 weeks to Philly horribly. A playoff Win clouds a mediocre season, and the anchors are keeping the ship from moving and paid.

Coming from a Jets fan but I think Schein and Daboll are safe unless it’s a 2-15 3-14 type season. I think they’ll finish in the top 3 of the draft and they’ll draft their QB

I have to disagree. I think Joe should be on the hot seat. Poor draft picks, poor depth, losing 2 top players for nothing up front, getting rid of the face of the franchise, giving a horrible contract to a mediocre player and tried to get a replacement after 1 year of the new contract. Still in cap hell. Had the opportunity to get a better QB in FA and the draft but wanted the flash/splash player. Bragged about how he couldn't mess up 2 top 10 pics in one draft. So I absolutely believe the GM should go if/when this season goes down the drain.

@subwayrabbi he could have drafted Panix, the best pure passer I n the draft. Don't tell me about injury. He has been injury free for 2 years. Don't tell me about injury when DJ has been hurt 2 of the last 3 years. He could have even traded for Fields or picked up Wilson for practically NOTHING this year. He could have drafted Milton in the 3 or later. There are many things he could have done. He chose to go all in on DJ, and it should cost him his job. He nkt only double down, he quadrupled down. Not picking up his 5th year option when he didn't know what he had with him. A mistake. Not letting him test the market. A mistake. Giving him a massive contract after a mediocre season, a mistake. Nkt drafting a replacement when there was a QB rich draft. A mistake. If this fails this season, he should be fired!

@subwayrabbi I'm not talking about Tibs. Wandale is a #3 at best. A slot who is not a deep threat and can't block. I like Hyatt. He hasn't had much of a chance. Neal looks like a bust. But that's only like 5 players. He drafted almost 20 players now. I'm not gonna judge this year yet, but the last 2 drafts have not been good, and we keep taking steps backward each year.

As a Giants fan, Belichick was a great DC while he was here and went on to be the GOAT. But I don't want him back as coach. We need new progressive ideas, not old ones. If he wants to be DC, sure I'd take that but not as HC.
