That is a wonderful idea to install the catwalk along the top perimeter of the fence so he can peer over at the activities on the opposite side of the fence. He will feel safer being high of the ground and he can greet anyone he recognizes on the sidewalk.

I have a rat terrier that protects everyone in the family and our vehicles as well . She goes every where with us and when she has to sit in the car or truck at the stores she is on full guard duty. So cute she will sit in the arm rest and not move anything but her head scanning the area. Everyone that's See's her just falls in love with her. She's our baby for sure.
