My style is a mix of blues, roots, swing and country. Because I love Ry Cooder, Neil Young, all the old Blues dudes and Gospel as well and Leonard Cohen..Keith just found his slot and taught himself when he was very young. I agree that his talent is a bit wasted on country. But that's where he feels he fits.

HOLY SH_T! As a 66 yr old rock & roll gal who grew up with The Bee Gees and was absolutely certain no one, and I mean NO ONE, could sing a Bee Gees song better then they could. Especially a country singer! And DAMN…this guy just proved me wrong. I have never watched another performer put so much true, heartfelt emotion into a song in my life! My heart ached as I listened to him. Honestly, I’ve never been a fan of country music but thanks to the Voice-USA, I discovered Blake Shelton’s magnetic personality and decided to check out his music. I was hooked! I think Keith Urban may be my 2nd favorite country musician! As singer/songwriters, the Bee Gees are second to none, but many people aren’t aware of their massive contribution to music. Unlike most successful groups, their immense talent has spanned 4 decades, and they’ve released 29 hit songs in multiple genres (Rock & Roll, R&B, Soul, Disco, Pop, etc). They are the “3rd most successful band in Billboard charts history behind only the Beatles and the Supremes.” And not only did they write their own hits, they wrote hits for Frankie Valli, Dionne Warwick, Barbra Streisand, Dolly Parton & Kenny Rogers, Olivia Newton-John, Diana Ross, Yvonne Elliman, Celine, Dion & Destiny’s Child to date. Shockingly, when Disco music lost its appeal, the Bee Gees bore the brunt of the new born hatred for that style of music and were subjected to relentless ridicule by the now Disco-hating public. Making a song its own with talent, keeping the spirit of the original without spoiling it, is an art. @@scottventimiglia5861 no keep going because it's the person who just does the music that is useful. i only do simple songs and rythm but they still use me in the aged care now that i am not working. they bop along and dance etc for their happy hour. also i play for fun with a couple of friends nearly every sat avo. also another lady i know who doesn't play very well brings much enjoyment to a large group of singers at our library who also perform at aged care. it's the doing that counts. the commiting. it's a life. we have also used it in rehab and christmas at the hospital. and in disabilities. suggest you learn to sing a long if you even have a medium voice too so you can take it anywhere anytime. if you look at my youtube you will se i'm very average but i still get used. in my vids, that day i made 97$ Australian in an hour. keep going i encourage you.

I'm listening to this for the very first time, right now. And it's perfect timing and what I desperately needed to hear right now. Earlier tonight I stumbled across text messages between The Woman I Love and myself. And it was just as painfully heart breaking a year later as it was then. I've Loved Darla since the first second I saw her walking past me at an intersection in 2005. I spent 18 years of my life Loving a Woman who told me many times that She loved me very much. But She would always turn her back to me and leave. Like I died and was buried and She had to forget everything about me. And I Loved her exactly like Keith sang this song. Pure Unconditional Love. 3 times I believed her and let her tear me to pieces. I could never get it right she said. She'd never live with me. Anywhere with anybody else but me. She exacted a heavy toll from me for Loving her. Last fall I finally had to give up and accept that She would never Love me the same as I Loved her. She finally had taken me completely apart and left me humiliated and broken beyond repair. . At 61 yrs old, I have accepted the fact that no human wants me. .
