DACIA Sandero Stepway III 2021-2022 - Random starting problem - problème de démarrage aléatoire

In a year, this is my 3rd time having this issue, but this, on video, is the most agressive one: car doesn't start at all. The car has this behavior: when starting the car, the screen goes off (MEDIA NAV) then or it restarts by itself or it doesn't restart at all. If the car restarts, it restarts with the MEDIA NAV off, and nor sensor nor the AC system works. As you don't have screen, the rear camera is useless... so you go back to a 1970s car. Old style!
HAVE YOU HAD SOMETHING SIMILAR? The Renault/DACIA workshop is clueless.

I had a technical revision just after this happened (2 weeks)... they kept the car for around 4 days. They told me that they couldn't replicate the issue, that the car is in perfect conditions (new)... The person in charge told me that the description was similar to a problem in the communication network, because it blocks the signals of the other components and the car restarts without them (minimal capacity) ; but again they repeated to me that yhey didn't find anything.... and they even confirmed that the battery was OK without damage. He said to me: bring it ASAP if this happens again, we will read the logs before it gets erased. Anyway, they updated the software that time and a second time for other problem related to the injectors... same answer: they didn't find anything and it hasn't been reported before. After the software update, I have had no new issues but to be a new car I am somehow disappointed and dissatisfied for this phantom issues that nobody knows what they are 😓

@@vandkanonen it didn't repeat after doing the soft update + a technical revision; but since then I have had another soft update + another technical revision (TOTAL of 2). Please check my previous answer on this thread, where I mentioned that the support of the DACIA/RENAULT workshop told me to bring the car ASAP to read the logs before they get erased - with the condition that IF it happens again. I recommend you to raise the complain on your local workshop because they told me that they can trace similar subjects and find a solution - it seems I was the first for them.

I have a sandero confort 2021,All i can say about is that the car is a CHEAP RENAULT garbage,But maybe you can resolve some problems bying a OBD2 Scanner,There are many videos on youtube about the OBD2 Scanner.

Got mine since june 2021. After 70K km not problem like this. Just for few weeks the LPG mode not working anymore like 2 years ago now. But after Renault call back for problem didn't got any other problem

Yes, the battery was bad.

Yes, LPG in English... No issues with the car since the last update.
