I dont remember if she got help but if she was sober then she could've been given a chance. If not he could've went to someone else either way they ignored the fact that the father was suspected of abuse before.

The mother should get a serious sentence herself. She was well aware of the abuse going on but opted not to ruin her own commodity by immediately seizing the poor kid. It's way to common, sadly. I was put into foster care at age 5, after being abused by my biological father, since I was born, and the cops would show up after my biological mom and I were beaten and bruised and say they couldn't do anything because there were no eye witnesses...except for the neighbors who heard and knew what he was doing and reported it. 🙄🙄🙄 Sadly it took my baby sister dying, and my birth mom almost dying before anything was done. He didn't stay in jail though, went on to have my three younger half siblings while I was in foster care, and abused them as well until my three younger siblings were also put into foster care.

@@Maspets This was not normal exercise either. When someone falls off a treadmill like that, it means it's going too fast and you slow it down. It's also not a two person exercise, where one person holds the other above the belt physically forcing him above and on it. That's not how it works. This isn't exercise. The kid is likely super anxious and super afraid as the dad uses fear and intimidation and the threats of harm to control, and even physically grabbing the child and making him do all this. So, if you think only good intentions from the dad, well then he's doing it wrong and his child was harmed. Even with good intentions, the dad is at fault.

Initially, I thought the mother should have been charged too because I felt she had to know something. I was wrong! This mother told everyone who would listen about the abuse. She took pictures, she took video, she submitted reports to the courts and to CPS. Report after report was ignored because the two were locked in a custody dispute. I find it so incredible that a person would abuse a child they clearly didn't care about, all while fighting for custody! That's sick and twisted. I hope his mother is able to find peace. she did everything she could to protect her son and get him away from that sorry ass excuse of a human being. I hope the judge that denied her full custody the day before her little boy died carries that pain with them forever. I hope his pediatrician, a mandated reporter who noticed odd injuries and was told by Corey that he was being abused, is tormented by guilt for the rest of their life. that poor baby was failed by every adult except his mother, and now she has to bury her son as a result. I hope everyone who failed Corey rots in hell for all of eternity

Here’s another callous comment: this mother did not even have custody of her own child due to allegations of drug addiction. She is definitely NOT the victim. The child is the only innocent victim here.

Hope the father gets convicted and has to serve the maximum sentence. Hope the mother sues child protective services for negligent homicide, as they could have prevented the child’s death if they had done their job.
