The first fighting game I ever played. SF2 is more than a game, it was also semi educational, it taught little kids about the world and the different countries and cultures. Ryu also inspired me to take up Karate later on in life, he was like a 2nd father growing up.

Same here. And loved every minute of it. 👏🏼🔥🔥🔥 Edit: I totally forgot that MK1 on SNES was actually the first fighting game that I've ever played. But... SF2 on SNES was the 2nd (or something like that 🤷🏻).

I was 7 when this game came out. It was instantly my favourite game as soon as I played it. The music, the sound affects, the characters, the stages. They'll hold a place in my heart till the day I die.

There's something about the audio on the home ports of SF2, SNES/Genesis, that I absolutely adore. They've both got their sound that is just so punchy and charming to me that I love.

Such an incredible port! It’s amazing how Capcom captured the arcade experience for a new console as the SNES. Forever a classic.

Played this game a million times, seen you guys play this a million times, and it never gets old. SF 2,MK, Tekken, Virtua Fighter, and other fighting games have been a big influence in my life, especially in my martial arts. 👍🤠😁

We used to set our buttons to RXYLAB. Also, there was a code you could do during the Capcom logo when starting the game up to be able to choose the same characters
