Yes they are capable of jealousy, we had a parrot whom we treated like Ducky, then a chick was born and when we would cuddle the chick the parrot would come rushing to peck us.

Beaker is NOT scared of her!! He loved her back the only way he knows how. Beaker needs love too. Tinkerbell almost blinds him every time she attacks his head. How he tolerates that is beyond me. She's very rough with him. ❤️🦜❤️🦜❤️🦜❤️

@@janice369 I think you’re taking it too literally. I don’t literally think he’s terrified of Ducky, but he’s definitely jumpy around her. I don’t mean that as a bad thing. I think he’s still learning how to interact with her and bonding. Tinkerbell is rough with her preening but it’s not to be mean. Since she lost her previous mate, she may have never learned how to gently preen.

That when new feathers come in they have a sort of casing or something that will fall off but they can just tug off because they're uncomfortable... But they can't get the ones in their own head so getting those spots for each other is an affectionate thing? Like cats grooming each other's heads or someone brushing your hair, scratching your back, or doing up the zipper/buttons that are hard to reach ❤ I think lol the memory is half impression at this point 🤷🏼

Ring-neck girls don't usually talk much. I've heard of exceptions, but most are like Tinkerbell. Sometimes when the girls are young they will say a few words, but by the time they're adults it goes away. There's one female Ring-neck owner who says her female talks a lot, though, so you never know. In the wild, the males are probably vocal as a way to attract a mate, which is why the females don't usually talk.

Beak has fed Ducky a few times when she was younger. If anything, I think he was offering, or maybe Beaker was wanting to play with her, but Ducky chillin and getting rubs from her momma. Plus Beaker knows not to get too rough with Ducky when momma is around and Ducky has no worries.

The don't give a rats A$$ if Ducky is their kid. In the wild the baby Flys away as soon as it can.Never to be seen again. Tink only sees Ducky as competition for Beakers love. And Beaker only sees Ducky as competition for Big Grammys love. They don't love her as a daughter. And Beaker will probably try to mate with her at some point, when he comes into mating age, because shes female. These are birds. Not humans. They have tiny little bird brains not emotions, that only think about survival and attention and eating and mating. And that's about it.
