Dad Has Something to Say to Doubles Vendors | day 2 in Trinidad

Today is day 2 of our short Trinidad trip. Mom and Dad cooked lunch: Rice, Curried Fish, and Boil and Fried Green Figs. Daddy also had a lot to say about doubles vendors and their choice of wrapping paper. Then I ended off the video by making some spicy chicken sandwiches for my brother and his friends. The purpose of rubbing the cucumber is not for bitterness to come out but to see if the cucumber is fresh. Vendors used that process longtime when purchasing wholesale. They randomly cut a few to test by rubbing it. Hope that info was useful👊

I believe the roblem lies with the supplier of the paper, my husband asked and was told that the vendors are not getting the original paper we know.

Hey! They do get soggy but the ochro fries really nice and it's not very slimy. The caraille is soggy too but it's so easy to squeeze and cook. I couldn't tell the difference when mom cooked fry caraille. Hahah

I love all the food your family cooks, looks so delicious, for the roti's. They should use wax paper so the roti's won't stick to the paper. Just one suggesting, don't mean any disrespect. Chicken is already tender and don't need meat tenderizer. Only tuff meat like beef and etc. My mother always said. If the meat tenderizer can tenderize a animal's meat. Imagine what's its doing to us in our bodies. Human meat/Human flesh. Just something to think about. I don't cook with it anymore. Everything looks so delicious.
