Monkeys can't be trained. They have a hierarchy but are mostly on their own to forage and don't share food. Dogs are pack animals that have to cooperate and coordinate to hunt and over thousands of years of domestication they have been bred and evolved to accept human families and thrive being part of them. Monkeys are still wild and can be beaten into submission but not trained or raised in any way that's going to make them a proper pet or prevent them from suffering in captivity when isolated from their own kind

I have never complained or griped about this couple , but I don’t truly understand what’s going on in this video, and if it is what it seems to be, then shame on you two! This is a monkey! And, I also saw the stick in the shadows. You two better NOT hit this poor baby with a stick, even threatening to do that is cruel and wrong! Discipline isn’t taught with threats and cruelty, it’s taught with love, being stern, and being consistent! You sat there filming for at least 2 full minutes, as you observed him running around, completely untethered, in an area he, unlike you, doesn't know is dangerous. Anyone that know literally anything about training animals would say that negative reinforcement will only make matters worse and breaks an animal's trust which basically 100% of the time causes aggression in animals. Positive reinforcement is the only way to train animals if you actually want results.

Ruth Lovelace the only thing we can do is educate people. It's illegal to even own primates in Vietnam. They own this monkey most likely it was purchased in a market. The hunters/poachers, will kill the moms because it's the only way to get these babies away from them. @@traceylynncfalconer8566 I did see the shadow of the stick but I don't believe it was used to hit Dodo. I don't believe they are hurting Dodo or Mori in any way. They show so much love and care in the videos.I think dad was holding it as a sign of discipline. If I thought they hurt those babies, I couldnt watch any more.
