It's amazing what Morten can still do for music. Unrivaled. Music for the soul. This album needs live concerts, like no other. Without a doubt.

His voice will always wash over me like a wave of, ‘whoosh!’, I don’t even know. I saw Take on Me on TV when I was nine years old and ever since then I was hooked. The composition of their songs plus the voice has always and will always hit me right in the heart. I’m ten albums deep now, I have many recommendations if you’d like!

Morten was 62-63 when this was recorded! They practically recorded this live - with an entire orchestra - as you could see - right in the arctic circle! Started out as a Magne project for a documentary about Norway - and ended up as an album 😉. Thank you for the reaction 🌹🕊.

As often, Morten's soft and powerful voice touches the depths of your soul. a-ha has made many albums, many big tours (sometimes tiring, but that's for all bands).a-ha belongs to the very big groups (in their own style). So yes, thank you to them🎸🎹 and thank you for the reaction and sharing of this very beautiful song 🤝🏻🎵 (the album True North is very good🔭)

The beauty of the song is overwhelming. And the video... I grew up and still live in the same region where it was shot (Northern Norway). The photos capture the beauty of the Arctic.

I'm Brazilian, a-ha is my favorite band ever. I love all of its studio albuns from the 80's to the 2020's track by track

Morten can still send some of todays autotuned younger male 'singers" to hide in shame and never to come back again.Respect!

What a lovely reaction, and so relatable when it comes to the song. I'm from that part of Norway. Far north, very far north, and every time I hear the song it takes me home to the wild nature and the sea in the north, with the steep mountains and the heavy swells. Magne and Pål have a strong connection to that part of the country. All three grew up in the south, but Pål's parents are from Norway's northernmost county, and he spent his childhood summers in the wild nature and with the big sea just outside. Some years ago, Magne bought a farm in Lofoten, the same area where the video was recorded. He says he wrote the songs for the album while at sea. Bluest of Blue is another song from the album that takes me to sea, out in a boat in Norway. But unlike True North, it takes me to the coast of southern Norway, where I live now, and where Morten has a strong connection, to warm and sunny summer days with the sea lapping under the wooden boats. A-ha captures the Norwegian nature perfectly. The greatness of True North reflects the Norwegian nature.

A-ha never disappoints. Most of my older favorites who release new music tend to disappoint on some level, but a-ha keeps going strong. The "Foot of the Mountain" LP might be my new favorite. "Cast in Steel" was very good, too. I haven't gotten "True North" yet. But I will.

Cool tune. They played "Forest for the Trees" of the album when I saw them at Radio City prior to album coming out when they performed "Hunting High and Low". April 12 2022

First off. New music from fave bands. Get it. Honestly, Ive been let down by some. Not liking the new Pet Shop Boys stuff for example. But this ? Well well… With all due respects to the orchestra and musicians working within this song, Morten is totally leading them. Musically it is grand and epic, something I like when mixed with A-ha. Producer Tarney knew this when he worked with them. Somehow there are hints of his production here ? Little touches of strings that remind me of Scoundrel Days a little. Love it. This band has aged very well and Morten just keeps sounding better !

Thank you for reacting to a-ha. I'm always happy to see Americans appreciate this band. They don't deserve the one hit wonder stereotype, or the pretty but banal boys band stereotype. Do you think you and your friend (the one you introduced to Minor Earth Major Sky) could react to Sycamore Leaves (Live in Oslo, kzbin.info/www/bejne/eaGnimybbqeLfq8), and to "Scoundrel Days" and "East of the Sun West of the Moon", studio versions?

There are many a-ha reactions on here, if the weren’t struck by copyright. 🤷♀️
