I was watching this live. When he was looking at the chat and laughing "so much purple!" it was because everyone kept sending purple hearts in the chat. What it didn't show, he was crying about it for a good whiile. The sweetest moment was when he said - "is this how ARMY feels when we make a song for you?"

This was an amazing Live. JK came on wanting to karaoke as usual but wasn't feeling anybody's music so he asked for suggestions. Someone suggested this song in the chat and so many people amplified it, he saw the name and gave it a listen. It was beautiful to watch him react to getting a little taste of just how much he and the guys mean to the Army. You were right, when he was pointing and laughing at the screen it was at the chat - which was filled with row after row of purple hearts. Nothing but love for Kookie. 💜

ARMY releases a song for BTS every June 13th, for their anniversary. This year's song is called Dream Team. I don't know if you watch other reactors, but Jordan from the reaction channel "Jared & Jordan" has a part in the song. Love Letters was last year's song. Another one of my favorites was the 2020 ARMY song, "7 Reasons". In their song from 2020, "Bulletproof: The Eternal", BTS asked us why we stayed with them. The 2020 song is a response to that question. There's also a line in this song that references that question, when the singer says, "You're the reason why I stayed." Also, if you watch JK closely, you can see when he broke. It's at the line, "Til '25 we'll be waiting for you." As much as they love us, they're always afraid that we're going to leave them. It honestly breaks my heart.

It was really sad because she was doing a fundraiser and donating any profits and everyone had volunteered their time and talents to do this. A true labor of love where she opened it up to ARMY as well to participate. So when the guys finally saw it and loved it we were all so excited for her.

For the last half hour or so I watched the Love Letters MV followed by JK then Jimin then RM reacting to this video. The guys and Army have such an amazing relationship of mutual love and support. If you look closer you'll notice that when he gets extra emotional is the part where they're saying goodbye to Jin and the song says we'll be waiting for you. The norm in K-pop is that when the members of a group enlist, the fans move on to the next new group. I think that's actually been a (subconscious?) concern of his. Also, there's an ARMY saying that goes "Jungkook joined because of RM but he stayed because of Jin". JK was only 14 when he joined them in the dorm and he was often homesick. Jin took him under his wing (got him up, packed his school lunches, etc.) and even brought him to spend time with his own family as JK's family lived too far away for him to visit. And despite the actual age difference they were basically the same mental age so that worked out as well (check out one of the JinKook compilations - they're so funny and adorable together. 😂) So I personally think those factors combined - assurance and Jin's send-off - were what finally brought him over the teary edge so to speak. 💜

jk joined when he was 13 and jin only joined the dorm at the end of 2012 once he was selected as a member. Jin came from home for practice and training. so he packed lunch maybe after jk started HS after debut. He and Jin have both described how Jin used to wake him up (which was/is apparently not an easy task 😂) and see to his lunch but yes Yoongi absolutely helped him as well, especially with getting him to and from school. 💜

JK was 13. there is also evidence of Jin not being in the dorm until he was selected as BTS member .. he came after jimin joined in 2012. JK took a hiatus from school in 2013 Feb till 2014 Feb when he started HS. The school yr in SK is from March or April till the next Feb. Jin came to Bighit training daily until he became a member. After debut JK is still yrs in school where Jin would have woken him up .. there is no timeline of that period when JK and Jin talked abt waking JK and lunch, etc.

We have watched him grow up from a little introverted boy to an amazing man. He didn't loose himself in the glitter and glamour, but stayed humble and kind. But our heart is not filled with negative emotions, only with love for him.

When JK pointed toward the screen, we were all there flooding him with purple hearts.. literally everything turned purple on his screen 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 What's so amazing about being ARMY is that the love we give out to BTS always gets reciprocated and it's a never-ending cycle of genuine love, care, and admiration. It's amazing. And you can see how sincere they are when they express their gratitude to ARMYS for all the love and support. Definitely in this Bangtan shiiite for life :D

Yes. It's not parasocial, because, by definition, parasocial relationships are one way. What we have is a healthy, loving interdependence. They are as emotionally attached and interactive with us as we are with them. Not that parasocial relationships are bad either. The internet misunderstands what parasocial even means. It means to have an emotional connection to someone who you don't know/doesn't know or acknowledge you or who doesn't exist. So parasocial connections are what allow us to connect with fictional characters and enjoy movies, books, theater and song. It also allows us to have empathy for others and helps society function and is how charity works, etc.

I was in that livestream and he was taking karaoke requests as usual and we were spamming the chat with the most recent (at that time) fan song from ARMY. So, he looked it up. After that we started spamming other fan song titles and he reacted to a total of three different ones. He was so moved and impressed. He said "what group has fans who do this for them? I love you guys. ARMY is the best." He then asked for a physical CD of all the fan songs and was lowkey mad he didn't know about them sooner, because ARMY has been dropping fan songs every year at Festa, just like BTS does. When he was laughing and pointing it was because the chat was nothing but a sea of purple hearts. That's why he said everything is purple, because he also was wearing purple and had his purple mood lights on.
