Dad Reacts To Cold Chisel - Wild Thing (Live)

Today I dive into legendary Australian rock band Cold Chisel. LAST STAND is a documentary film of the final concert by Cold Chisel prior to their first disbandment. It was filmed on 13 and 15 December 1983 at the Sydney Entertainment Centre and released to cinemas in July 1984. A DVD version featuring extra footage was issued in October 2005.

Thank god Jimmy is still alive, home from hospital and picking up and doing pretty dam good. . I remember him saying in an interview he couldn’t even remember some of his performances, my guess, this could be one of them lol. From a wild boy to an adoring grandfather. Gotta love Jimmy.

Holy Smokes! Cold Chisel rocks, and I mean Really Rocks 🎉 The way Mossy copied sounds in his guitar doesn't go unnoticed, and Jimmy ❤, well he is superb. Shout out to the rest of the band, Don on keys, Phil on Bass and Steve RIP on drums, who also gave it their all and are great.

Saw Chisel 3 times, they played this as the encore each time. By that stage Jimmy was so plastered he could barely stand up but his vocals were always on point.

It is when you see these guys live that you really appreciate their talent - I saw them live early '80's and WOW !! I also love Jimmy's Soul albums - been playing those since they first came out. Old grey rocker here 🤣

Iconic song done Aussie style!! As you say it's not about the song it's all about the performance and interaction between band and audience. Everything about this performance is brilliant, from musicianship to just enough chaos(planned or otherwise) to give the audience a memorable experience...I can guarantee no-one there has forgotten the experience.

As a Teenager, saw them many times in the Mid 70's , Pub Rock on a Friday night, Jimmy always got down with the audience, great band, great times.- last saw Ian Moss live with the 'Giants' at Ayers Rock about 10 years ago, great night, Wild Thing, ok, not their best song , but sometimes you just have to be in the room, Thank you

An incredibly "tight" band, all the guys totally interdependent just as a band should be ... spontaneous, entertaining and able to back each other and not just Jimmy and Mossy. Not exactly devoid of musical talent either ! I miss such live performances, especially when it isn't all about production, autotune etc.

Jimmy loves Mossy to bits and is very affectionate towards him. He often hugs him or plants one on him on stage. I really love seeing it. It makes me happy!! 😊 (Your comments on the video and the video didn't quite match. I'm presuming something went wrong and you had to rejig the video somehow?)

This was Sydney December 15 1983 ,they reformed in 1998
