Drake did a web series on youtube couple years ago called "Them and Us" during his Degrassi period, a few episodes are still on youtube actually. These pictures were influenced by one of the episodes. In that particular episode, drake and his dark skin friend was auditioning for a role as a barber. The barber was supposed to be the "stereotypical black man" after auditioning, drakes character got the role, even though the dark skin friend was much better in the audition. It was a representation of society how those lighter in skin colour get preference when they have the "stereotypical black traits"........

These pictures were influenced by one of the episodes. In that particular episode, drake and his dark skin friend was auditioning for a role as a barber.
