Today I dive into legendary Australian singer John Farnham. "Two Strong Hearts" is the second single from his thirteenth studio album AGE OF REASON released in July 1988. It debuted at No. 1 on the ARIA Chart in August and remained on top for eight weeks!

As an Aussie growing up in the 80s it now bewilders me that you all missed out on John and Jimmy. Seeing them live in their prime was a true treat that I value more and more as time goes on.

You can't help but enJOY this one ! John 's Soul shines when he sings. This is especially so when it is a LIVE performance. Aussies love him because he gives so much love and joy to us when he performs. And he is a consummate showman performer. As you can see, his rapport with the audience is astounding. He oozes charisma. John is wearing a cowboy style of shirt because he is one - part time. He an his wife breed quarter horses on their farm, ride horses and John is a champion at cutting out cattle.

Thanks for another John reaction! Whilst this song isn't one of my favourites, his obvious joy in performing and brilliant voice make every live performance of his a pleasure to witness. Hope to see you do more :) Can I suggest "Age Of Reason" - it's a great song, and there is a version with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra that is just great!

I'd love to go back in time too and see him live again. His concerts in the 80's 90's and 2000's were such amazing productions. The whole band were spot on and John always spectacular and so much fun ❤❤❤ Even his performances in his later years were totally awesome and his band kept most of the same members for decades as well. They were like a familiy who always had each others back. ❤❤

Yeah I regret that I never saw him live..almost did in the 90s but it clashed with another thing I was already committed to.

You have done Help, so will try to list the other 6 in a suitable order.......and LIVE is mostly best. 1) When Something Is Wrong With My Baby.......masterclass soul duet with Jimmy Barnes......Aria Awards night video or Hey Hey Its Saturday ( live tv show ) video, but official video is also 1st class. 2) Gethsemane.....from the 1990's Australian production of Superstar. 3) A Long Way To The Top.......AC/DC cover with the MSO 4) Black Dog.......audio only Led Zepplin cover.....secretely taped pre concert warm up and sound check. 5) Lifted Up By Angels......with Lisa Edwards ( loyal backing vocalist ) 6) Bridge Over Troubled Waters......a young John cover of Simon and Garfunkel 7) Anything else with the MSO or from Hey Hey Its Saturday or as a duet with another superstar like.....Tom Jones, Celine Dion, etc etc

He went to america with the Little River Band at one stage. The record execs wanted changes in his songs, didn't like his voice much,da dah dah. He came home to his family, horses and fans. So you guys missed out.

@@reactionextraction I have a friend in Texas who came all the way to Australia to meet another Aussie legend Guy Sebastian she & her husband were lucky enough to meet and greet him backstage before a concert. Now Guy would be another artists I think you'd love. Singer/songwriter. He writes about real life.

It made it onto the Billboard charts in the US he had asked rapper Lupe Fiasco to write a rap for it & he agreed & Lupe got his first Gold record here in Australia. Here is a solo version from Guy where he sings both parts..from his home studio during our lockdown covid period.
