Having songs like call it what you want, dress, and king of my heart to so long London, loml, I can do it with a broken heart, and the albatross and possibly a few more really connect the dots and shows how in love she was with him to where like we know in ‘you’re losing me’ how quickly the relationship turned.

Gotta say when this album dropped, it was a shock, very controversial, even between swifties, cause this was SO SO different from anything we had ever heard from her, the agressiveness, I just know it was too much for a lot of swifties. Especially when the mv for 'Look what you made me do' came out... It was staggering for everyone who used to only see Taylor as this goody goody. You need to see it, and then you'll understand. I loved it from the beginning, but it was definitely shocking but in a great way. I think it wasn't even well received by critics, and a lot of it I think it had much to do with that fact that a lot of people hated her. Since then, I think slowly swifties, and people in general, have come around and realize what an amazing album this is.

I personally hated it because the first half is my least favourite type of pop and prior to that she'd been absolutely brilliant at my fave kind of music. There were so many different reasons why the Swifties who didn't enjoy Rep didn't enjoy Rep.

One of my favorite things about Reputation is that it´s blend of so many different genres. It´s mainly synth-pop and electro-pop but it has bits of EDM, House, Hip Hop, R&B, Trap and even Country at the end. Another thing is that Reputation is perfect representation of pop and mainstream music of 2017-2018 but it doesn´t sound dated at all, it aged pretty well and still sounds fresh.

a few songs sound dated in my opinion - especially the beat droppy ones like so it goes and dancing with our hands tied. still an extremely solid album of hers though; not my favorite but contains one of her best songs for me which is getaway car. arguably the peak of taylor and jack's collaboration.

New Year's Day is a great closer. It is as if the whole album is the storm with very potent songs, then in Call It What You Want we get the lyric "windows boarded up after the storm" and we end with New Year's Day, which is calm and beautiful giving the sense the storm has passed, it is a new year now. Also, she says "I stay when it's hard", and in the context of everything she had been through before this album, it is such a subtle way of demonstrating her resilience. I wonder if you are going to react to Lover after this. I'm really glad you liked this album, and I had a lot of fun watching your reaction. Loved the dad jokes 😂

My mom had this huge laugh that embarrassed me as a kid. I hated it so much. But she passed last year and I’d give anything to hear it again. So that line in New Year’s Day really changed after her passing. It’s perfectly beautiful ❤
