There is so much to like about you. You're beautiful, energetic, articulate, professional, positive, knowledgable, talented, and simply fun to watch. But what impresses me the most about you, is that you aren't afraid to continue filming wearing race dirt on your beautiful face! No one wears it better. You are the consumate spokes person for dirt track racing. Sorry for the bad luck for your dad. Hope the season continues to improve for Bill Sr. Bill Jr. and Mike!

Fonda is awesome. We always ran good with our sprintcar at Fonda. Glad to see your Dad moving around. Please send him to Orange County fair speedway he has some unfinished business there and I would love to see him come back. Awesome job Mandee

Sense the fixed the whole in one it tends to hold water now. It wouldn't be fonda without a rut or hole on corner entry at one end or the other. BTW at 51 years old I remember your dad from many years ago. Loved watching him again. Reminds me of days of old with him, Jack, Lou, CD, Dave and all the old dogs.

Long Fonda ramble... We used to call it 5 turns, with the 3rd turn in the dogleg of the back stretch. That is the centuries-old Mohawk Barge Canal part of the Mohawk River back there. Every year, when I was a kid in the mid-50s, there would be modifieds that went off that backstretch dogleg into the canal. Mid '60s.,.. They used to pit in the infield and there was a long concrete road through the middle of the pits from the 1-2 turn to the 3-4 turn. On Wednesday nights, they did 1/8 mile drags on it - you shut off just before the 3-4 dirt and went airborne, landing down past the cow barns. Shirley Muldowney got her start in slingshot dragsters there in the Northeast Speed shop car from Schenectady-Altamont.

first off, what a kool boyfriend Mike is, hope he did well, 2nd, I am not an autograph seeker, but it is kool that drivers sign them for the fans. I just do not understand walking up to a driver near his hauler, during racing and seek autographs. People, those guys minds are going a million miles an hour thinking 100% set up to make their car faster. Maybe get their earlier if your going in the pits, if not , go in afterwards, they all sign. Sorry bout your Dad, he grins because hes been through every aspect of the sport. Better luck next race. Thanks Mandee for sharing. If my autograph comment offended anyone, I am sorry. But working on race cars all my life, I understand the drivers, well most lol.

Man...he was coming hard I thought he had something for the end. Such a crap break for him. I wasn’t so sure the way they towed his car off was appropriate with the front end dragging but the tow truck crew stunk all night! Hope to see him back for the Deyo show!

hey Mandee, again thank you for the share. Idea for a vid, after watching and hearing your Dad's battle with those inside tires, I watched a modified race from Grandview Speedway last night. #7 was doing really good getting through the field n boom, caught a tire in turn 1, then 8-9 laps later again. I know its the drivers fault, but I never been a fan of tires inside the turns, seen way too many ripped off RF's $$$$$. Why not concrete barricades, or guard rails ? they do not move and easier to see. Tires are black, plus they get moved around. Maybe ask drivers what they like ?

I've always have love going to fonda, but if you think That night was Fast, Wait till the STSS Race. I hope Billy and Dad are there For that Race along for the 200 Weekend.
@walterkowalskisr1865 жыл бұрын
Because of this night I thought for sure Billy would be at the 200, but I guess he had prior commitments. Hopefully he'll be here next year.
@kp4544423 жыл бұрын
Bill Sr I feel would have a great finish if he were to run the Fonda 200 in a few weeks. Last year had prior committments.But Sr was right on Stewys clock his last visit...not many can say that. Billy no spring chicken and this is not a true 200. It's 2- 100 lappers with a break in between sorta- so it could be perfect for Sr. Mike manages long distance very well, and his equiptment also so he'll do good..I think Podium last Fonda 200. Billy Jr, while looking lost at Fonda first couple gos has REALLY IMPROVED there. Mandee I think structure is 53 to win, 20 k second and 10k 3rd...we Fonda folks would love to see all 3 cars and drivers. See if you can push Pops to do this.

Did you ever see so many cautions to even get first 5 laps in? I was standing and freezing in 2 when your dad met up with the tire. Those tires have collapsed more than a few front ends, I know it's suppose to be a barrier to stop running from running to far in but DAMN, especially with todays "lightweight" components. Someone once said hit a yuke and your front end pukes...
