Lemme also point out to add to his credibility, D'Angelo was a part of the "Soulquarians" along with Erykah Badu, J Dilla, Questlove, Mos Def, and Talib Kweli. He was once dubbed R&B Jesus, and the king of neosoul. I'd recommend you check out Lady, Brown Sugar, Untitled, Me and Those Dreamin Eyes of Mine, Really Love, and One Mo Gin. Your dad may also appreciate D'Angelo's great covers of old songs like Smokey Robinson's "Cruisin", and Roberta Flack's "Feel Like Makin Love". So Daniel Caesar is not from Scarborough. He is from Oshawa. I have know his parents for many years. There are a number of young people that are musicians out of the same circle that Daniel Caesar has come out of such as Dylan Sinclair and Yahara Leone. The jazz / R&B scene is thriving in the Greater Toronto area and producing some fantastic artists. Check out Dylan’s song Menace and Yahara Leone’s song Move On.
