A message from the mom: mix all the dressing things together first. Do not let the potatoes cool - cut them into small cubes before boiling, it will save you time, they will cook faster - then drain them and put them HOT into the dressing, they will drink it up and be so much tastier. And everything will mix so much easier.

I put a little pickle brine into my potato and pasta salad dressings which can help add flavour and a bit of salt alongside the bacon, so I’ve never needed to add pure salt on its own to my seasonings for it. (And I’d eat pickles in everything if I could.)

Actually, there are more potatoes here than in Oliviye. It's like the main basic ingredient. In Russian salad Oliviye all the ingredients are equal in their portions. And there are more ingredients in Oliviye than here. So, it's kinda similar but different. 😊
