My Father loved long hair, I hated it as it was so thick/long and hot. At 16yrs snuck to hair dresser for first time, was terrified, getting my first hair cut. These men went from looking like they were homeless to handsome.

The first thing I remember refusing as a child, my first steps towards being an individual if you will, was my mothers bowl haircuts. I got a job just so I could pay a hairdresser to cut my hair, funnily enough, my older brother followed suit, and after about a year, even my father started having his hair cut by someone who knew what they were doing. Being follically challenged on my pate, I've been shaving my head and face for 26 years, saved a fortune in hair care products, but spent a fortune on razors! Men have so few places they can just relax, shoot the shit with other men, not worry about being judged and come away feeling and looking better. I hope you continue to provide that for years to come.

I love watching the transformations, but I also like watching the men learn how to care for their hair. Women talk about self care so much, because we are inundated with it from the media. Men should invest in themselves not just money, but time. The hot towels, the wonderful smells from the products, having someone else spend time on you is very therapeutic.

I'm 51, I just started going to a proper barber shop like this back in the fall. Before I'd just go to SuperCuts or whatever was around at the mall when it was convenient. Less expensive, far, far better results. I'm no model by any stretch, but even though my mom hates my long beard, she approves. And you can't get a better endorsement than your moms.
