I fought for a year with my daughter's then school. Once she got to a point that she was having nightmares, i filed a police report. They came got the neighborhood cop laison involved. The school wanted to say thay they were doing their "best". The cops and the neighborhood laison got cps involved. The parents of the abuser were upsét that i involved the cops. School didnt care. I contacted the director and said my daughter's switching schóols. Within five days she started at a new school. It was night and day. Therapy, and a school with wn actual no bullying policy saved my daughter's life. Cps is still involved in the lives of the other family six years later. Go figure if i was right. I'm so lucky our kid wàs saved in time.

This is what happens in a society where there is no consequence for bad behavior. When bullying is going on in school, parents should be teaming up against the bullies and even getting them expelled from school. There is no reason the child should be left bullied and no consequences to the bullies.

Unfortunately that's what pretty much ALL schools do. Then they wonder why there's so many kids losing their lives now, to suicide or from school massacres. Im sorry he lost his son. I was bullied too from 1st grade to college. My parents told me to ignore these kids. The crazy thing is they were honor students like me. Only once in 7th grade a boy shorter than me punched me. My parents chose not to suspend boy. Years later, a former friend I lost touch with told me he became a firefighter, did weight lifting and some acting. In hs kids from 2 different trouble families threatened to beat me on the bus. The dean who dressed like a biker took care of these kids. I don't recall if they were suspended by the dean. My parents wouldnt have suspended them. Awhile back I was reading a newspaper article. One of the female bullies opened a hair salon. This was in NYC late 1980s. It seems that maybe from the 1990s the schools started doing nothing about bullying.
