Fuel talk, I was in a strange space debating between getting a quattroporte qp5 or a Mazda rx8. I now have a 2011 rx8 for 6 months and I’m getting 14mpg on 150ftlb of torque! While it’s the most agile 4 seater ive ever driven, I do wonder what life would be like paying 14mpg with 400hp and torque instead.

@@tnutss I had a 2003 rx8. Did 113k miles in it. Averaged about 20mpg in it in general. Even got 30mpg out of it on a boring motorway run. Heading for 9k rpm in 3rd was just the best though 😊 I'd love to get an R3 now but just couldn't cope with £735/year road tax/ved/whatever you want to call it, it would do my head in

FYI this is my 2nd granturismo after mine got totaled. Went for a Porsche supposedly for stability and childhood dream car reason, only to realize my actual dream car was the Maserati. Very nice! Would love one of these - have a GS 4200. My kids are in their 20s now, but as a younger dad our only car was a Fiat Coupe 20v turbo. The kids were happy to get in the back as it was cooler than the people carriers their friend's dads drove.

Congrats. I bought a Granturismo 4.7 S a year and a half ago and love it. No regrets and no issues. It’s been a blast. I upgraded xpipe and some carbon fiber exterior stuff. I daily mine and only issue I have is how low and long the front is. Driveways can be a pain but that’s it lol. You will love this car and build so many memories with your children. Can’t wait to see what you film next

I’m not into cars. I don’t watch your channel but my husband is a car enthusiast and watches all the you tubers and over the years I’ve seen little glimpses of your channel and your ethos around dad cars and not settling for boring has inspired my husband greatly. He’s grown a business over the last 7 years whilst I have raised our babies at home. It’s been a slog. Lots of sacrifice. Lots of working hoping that some day it will pay off whilst dealing with the struggle of paying your staff more than you pay yourself. In the last 12 months I’ve started my own business now that our children are in school. Things are shifting for us. Our world is expanding and most relevantly to this channel my husband is now comfortably able to buy his dream car an Audi RS6. We drove up to London last week and picked it up and he’s loving it. The unexpected element is how it’s impacting our children. It’s so empowering for them to see us work hard for something and then make it a reality. The daily drive in it makes all the shit moments in business feel worth while. I’m stoked for my husband. I’m stoked for you. I’m stoked for all the other people out there who set out with a vision and slog their guts out until they get it. This video brought me to tears. Well done you 🎉

Absolutely love your channel, you're doing all the right things and as a father of 4; adore your balance between cars and fam. I just thought I had to comment. I pulled out the stops to purchase a GranCabrio in - home renovation saw that go in 2021. I have been on the market again and having evaluated everything out there, realisation was nothing compared to the 2+2 and most importantly, the sound. Had to get a GTS, managed to find one and paid for it last Sat. It is the only one of its spec in the country, so feel quite fortunate. In any case, I completely share your sentiments and just feel the GTS is one of those timeless cars that encapsulate every petrolhead emotion. I tell you what, I had never switched on the radio or listened to any music whatsoever in the Grancabrio thought my ownership of it The one I have now is the last edition and despite the upgraded hifi, etc, It'll be the same. Nothing compares to the cross plane Ferrari V8.
