Well, im shocked! I genuinely thought the Jaaaaag guy would fold! Jesus Ben,brave step going 10K on a Gran Turismo! I considered one at the same time as i was looking at Astons but after seeing the video of your friends one and what he had spent, i chickened out and bought a DB9 instead. On a side note, you got to watch those 4.2 V8 audi engines, My S4 cabriolet was a beautiful car in fantastic nick until the timing chains started chattering. Thet are at the rear of the engine and it has to come out to replace them so beware! Cant wait to see the Maserati though! Grab a big handful of bravery pills and go for it!👍👏👏👏♥️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

@ fair enough Ben. You had a SUV in the X5 albeit your wife’s car. I’ve got four kids, sometimes you have to make difficult choices for practicality reasons. I ended up in NZ with a Range Rover L320 a MPV for family hauling and dairy drivers like Mercedes and Toyotas. I’m in UK now, working, with family back in NZ so I’ve even able to have any cars of my choice. Short term at least.

Great buy if you can get the GranTurismo 4.7 in budget. Hopefully it's backstory doesn't preclude it from being a reliable(ish) purchase. The idea of an XJ with the 5.0 SC V8 sounds awesome too. I reckon for those who can't quite swallow that big a brave pill the diesel versions are probably also a good alternative Dadcar. Just a shame Jaguar didn't take advantage of access to the Range Rover power train parts bin and put in a V8 diesel.
