Never thought of it like that. I always just thought it was a fun way to give Guldo a moment of sorts, since he's so frequently disregarded as the joke of the Ginyu Force. So they made it out that despite his insignificance as a member of the Ginyu Force, he's the normal one among them.

Honestly, I like that they are using HFIL to show off what Abridged's King Cold is like. It kind of explains why at least this Frieza is so self-centered and obsessed with being an evil basterd. Its literally all one giant *cry for attention*

Slight Buu Bits spoiler that ties into this episode: Cold refers to Guldo as "my normal friend", meaning green is the predominant skin color in the universe. But Dende bemoans how Videl has "normal skin". I'm more inclined to believe Cold since he has more experience with the people of the universe. But while the Namekians didn't seem to go off planet much, they were familiar with other species as visitors, so was Dende especially sheltered then?

I couldn't even focus on what was happening in the scene because I was too distracted by how the screen was slowly scrolling left to right throughout. Which I'm sure they probably did for good reason, but it was just too distracting for me to enjoy what I was watching.

This feels like something someone should ask Lani or Kaiser. I'm sure Kaiser would have a final say about their versions of the characters. I'm sure as far as it goes in official canon, Frieza and his soldiers have no idea, since they all didn't know who Goku was when he confronted them.
