Yeah... 90s parents got stupid overbearing about this stuff... They threw a fit about the Ninja Turtles so the second live action film they didn't use their weapons cuz it was too violent. Instead we got the turtles using random objects as weapons. Teach kids to be creative with their violence.

There was an episode of Dragonball GT where Goku (who is a kid again due to a dragon wish mishap) went to the underworld and had to fight Cell and Frieza. They teamed up and shot him with this freezing contraption that froze him in a block of ice. However since he wasn’t dead he still had body heat so the ice melted off him. He then was able to use the freezing contraption on Frieza and Cell putting them in a block of ice for who knows how long.
