I'm saying bro....the fact that the whole situation could be solved by Apple just playing nice. They want every person on Earth to have an iPhone. I'm not even hating on iPhones but the way Apple manipulates their customers into believing android phones are bad just amazes me. Instead they pit families and friend groups against each other to basically frustrate people into switching. Literally using ostracization as a means to dominate the mobile market. Sounds like a monopoly to me.

It's funny how iPhones and Androids are always a point of contention but it's really just preference. Android usually comes out with the technology first before Apple though.

It's preference to a point. Apple makes it impossible for iMessage to communicate with the android RCS messaging that offers the exact same benefits. Encryption, up to 100mb file share, reactions, everything. Instead they force us to use SMS/MMS messaging to text between iPhone/Android, which is technology that's been around since the 90s. That's why pics always look bad when sending from one to the other.

All phones can work globally if you have the global capabilities on your phone. It has nothing to do with Android or IPhone. FaceTime is Apple's name for video chatting with other Apple users. All video chatting is not FaceTime. It's like calling all soda Coke. The last time I was on an airplane, I was able to chat with ANY Type of phone through Facebook messenger and WhatsApp.

I'm currently stationed in Germany. I have an android (Samsung), and I am able to text others with androids and iPhones without any issues. Also overseas almost everybody even the locals have some additional texting app because regular sms texting is expensive.

We have Duo which is the equivalent of facetime, but let iPhone users hear you call it FaceTime. They get all been out of shape wanting you to prove that you've used "FaceTime". It's like high school all over again. Apple somehow has iPhone users acting like they're the Jocks cheerleaders sitting at their own table. They get bent out of shape whenever literally anyone else tries to join in on their conversation that normally sits at another table. Secondly, I wouldn't consider inserting/removing an SD card an inconvenience. At least Android users get to choose at any point how many gigabytes they want by changing out the card, rather than being stuck with a fixed amount of memory once they've purchased their phone. Lastly, Androids have a lot more variety to choose from when it comes to purchasing a phone. These days the Galaxy series itself has the S, the fold, the flip, and the note to choose from. Apple just sells iPhones...

Android phones come in a variety of different brands and styles, you can increase the memory, but can we also talk about how Android phones are better quality every time I upgrade my phone last me 2 to 3 years It be taking so long my phone provider will alert me when it's time to upgrade. Apple is literally robbing their customers ain't no way in the world would I buy a $1000 dollar phone just for it to not have a USB port, or audio jack the fact that you have to buy separate accessories just to charge your phone is beyond crazy to me and Apple makes it so that you can only find those pieces from their stores so they can charge you astronomical prices. They can keep them Apple phones.

The reason why texting video between iPhones and Apple's Messages app doesn't result in blurry photos is because Apple controls the compression on both ends, When you message with any non-Apple users from within iMessage , Apple's software falls back to SMS, a text-centric messaging standard that dates back to the mid-80s and was absolutely not designed with modern messaging uses in mind.

The 'Facetime' test was inaccurate. Facetime is designed for iPhone for iPhone. It's like asking someone without Cashapp to specifically Cashapp you, thereby saying you don't want Venmo or Zelle. It's basically an app that a person can have. If you want to video call an Android user or vice versa, there's a lot of avenues to do that... Especially now 🤷🏿‍♂️

8:17 yes androids and chat with other androids all you need is internet. Just like the iphone has it's default text messaging app is imessage android is Messages. I have a main android and I have a 2nd phone which is an iphone 8 plus (i wanted the physical home button and fingerprint reader). Android has many options for many things. Android also has google chat or google voice which adds a number you can use however you want as long as you have a registered email address. Android's version of facetime is by default Google Duo & there are many options for that too. I don't video chat or use Facetime personally. What I will give to iphone & however they built their tech to do it. Sending video through imessage is currently superior to android as the quality is the same from you taking it on your iphone to the person sending it. Now with android with this default messaging app sending a video through text is trash. It has been updated to allow you to send video through a google photo link that does keep the original full quality video. When my iphone 8 plus is no longer supported I hope they keep the SE line going so I can have the fingerprint option. If not I'm not looking forward to just using a pin or face unlock for my phone.
