Yeah, use up three and a half lanes on the highway for your purposes because cars can after all squeeze by in half a lane without touching the grass. In fact, let's close 75% of all lanes on highways and turn them into pedestrian zones. Then open the current pedestrian areas for parking cars. Because taking the car would be pointless at that point. EDIT: Or as i have said in the past, might as well just start walking on the highways at the steady pace of 3 km/h. Let's see how many car drivers will enjoy taking their car to work in the morning then.
