cherish the fact she talks. My soon to be 3 year old barely talks and I just heard him say I love you for the first time recently and even that was just barely a you too after I said I love you he said you too and it was the most touching thing you can hear. When you raise kids with challenges you learn to appreciate the little things. Not that you don't anyways! My girls were talkers like your MG.

My stepson would yell "No baby no baby" the whole time I was pregnant with my son. The first moment he saw him he said super loud "its MY Seth, my baby" and he loves him so much. Even if she doens't get it now, she will love the baby when he/she gets here.

I i'm a premature born, 6 months and two weeks! I was in neo for 42 days, and i'm 20 years old, in two weeks turning 21. All my life I was in my own growing tile, always petite and small! I am 1,54 meters tall and 44 kg weight but that is completely normal for me! Dear Gaines I think your charts ring a Bell for me! As I have always been told, the best perfumes came in the smaller bottles (but don't you be foolled, 'cause poison does too) lol! Being petite rocks :D! Lots of love from Argentina xx

When my daughter coughs we tell her to mock the elephant. Which is basically swinging her arm up to cough in her "elbow". Since it somewhat resembles an elephant swinging over his trunk, it makes it fun for her in some aspect. I know how much y'all like your elephants. 😀🐘🏈

My daughter was really verbal too when she was the same age. She started recognizing print at 18mo, early reader, & is now taking all AP classes in high school. She is eligible to graduate early & go to college now, as a sophomore. It was hard getting her identified when she was in kindergarten because our school didn't place kids in TAG programs until 4th grade. She would meet all of her state & national benchmarks before Christmas so she spent most of class time playing computer games or helping other students. I started researching ways to keep her challenged because when we moved, her new school also waited until 4th grade to identify her. Her ELP classes were antiquated though & she wasn't challenged at all but being in the program enabled her to move on that track. Just some interesting feedback about our experience. A really good book to read is 'The Well Trained Mind-A Guide to Classical Education at Home' by Susan Wise Bauer and Jessie Wise. I used a lot of homeschooling resources during the summer & limited ones during the school year. Learning world history and latin & greek was something that she is still reaping the benefits from- especially on ACT, psat, and talent search related tests. It might sound like I made her do a lot but it was just fun things mixed in with field trips and lots of reading. She learned latin from a free app that she would play with while waiting for her swimming lessons. We probably spent 30min a day during the summer on "summer school" You wouldn't think it but advocating for a bright child is just as difficult as advocating for a struggling one. I can say that because my youngest daughter has always struggled in school so its challenging getting her all of the help she needs for that too. (she's borderline ADD with a possible learning disability)

This is helpful....I took our daughter, Joy, to story time today at our local library and was appreciating how every child is so different in their development and personality, etc. She is pretty verbal as well and super outgoing. I primarily work with children and I bought these solar powered hula dancers to put on my desk and I have found that the kids are calmer when they have something to focus on. I wear fun things clipped to my scrubs as well. I think every healthcare worker knows shots and things are harder on the parents than the kids lol

Our youngest Granddaughter is very verbal too and it is so much fun! She is 2 to be 3 in April and we can carry on a real conversation with her! MG is on the same path. Little girls seem to be more verbal than boys. Boys usually are move mobile but MG is pretty good there too! :)

I have to tell you, my daughter was the exact same way at 16 months! Skinny mini and very vocal. Now at 3.5 she is very ahead. Her dr at her 3.5 check up last wk told us to put her in a very academic focused kindergarten. She is now in preschool and doing so well. Also speaks a little Spanish, knows all her shapes and many things beyond preschool level. Seems like Maci G will be similar! Such a blessing to have a naturally bright kid! And us parents deserve a little credit too ;). I just had baby #2 as well, he is 9 months. I also just started a channel, check it out! Xoxo

I just showed my 7 year old daughter this video to see if she would notice and she turned and looked at me and MOM that's Dr (I won't say name) office. She was so intrigued. It's funny I wasn't sure if she would recognize it but she spent A LOT of time there and in the hospital until she was 4ish. My 14 month old daughter is 18 pounds and people ask me constantly what percentile she is in, and I dont know and dont care. She has been walking since 11 months, talks and sings and is as happy as any 14 month old, just petite. Every child is different.
