About the Holderness Family
The Holderness Family creates original music, parodies, and Vlogs for KZbin to poke fun of themselves and celebrate the absurdity in circumstances most families face in their day to day life. They published "Christmas Jammies" in December 2013 and life hasn't been the same. Since then, their popular parodies, "All About That Baste", "Baby Got Class," and original music "Snow Day" have received national news coverage. Penn, the Dad, took a chance and left his job as a news anchor to join his wife Kim, the Mom, at their video production and digital marketing company, Greenroom Communications, LLC. Lola and Penn Charles are always happy, respectful and eat all of their vegetables (that last sentence is a lie). Penn, Kim, Lola, and Penn Charles publish Vlogs and other nonsense to this channel as often as they can while remaining sane. Our viewers have become our family and we try our best to respond to comments.

This was so adorable! I always felt bad growing up when we made mother's day presents at school, but never father's day. So many of my kids teachers over the years always had the kids make something for father's day at the same time as mother's day, that my husband never had to feel left out from the special school projects.

For Father's Day, we always go to Gettysburg. We leave flowers on my grandfather's military grave, and we will typically visit the battlefields or the visitor's center or find a museum we haven't done (in a while). Past years, we always packed a picnic and ate it at the old visitor's center and scrambled all over the huge rocks, so many fun memories there.

I got a tattoo on my foot for my dad. It's a music staff where the notes spell D-A-D. Dad didn't really like me drawing on myself but I think he'd like it on my foot where it's hidden easily with a sock or easily exposed when people play tattoo show-and-tell.

One year our basement flooded while we were at church on Father's Day. So, thanks to homeowners insurance, she got me a brand new basement! LOL

I was married to my second wife for nearly 14 years and the things she'd buy me as gifts was usually useless, cheaply (even poorly) build junk!! It was almost as though she didn't know me at all, and then she would get upset at me when it broke or I refused to use it, because to me it was "special" and I didn't want to break it! For example one year she bought me a watch that was also a pinkie ring. I thought it was really COOL, and I would always take it off while shoveling snow in the driveway!! BUT one day she DEMANDED that I wear it, telling me "I know you don't like it but it breaks my heart that you don't just wear it!" and so to PLEASE HER, I wore it and when I was finished shoveling the snow the watch had stopped working and the band had broke on it too!! I had tried to warn her that this WOULD HAPPEN, but she made such a stink about it, I didn't want her upset at me, but she still was after it broke anyhow!! So I was literally "d@mned if I do, and d@mned if I don't" and then she accused me of "breaking it on purpose" after I had already told her that it would break like it did!! She spend only $15 for the thing at a store in the mall, and when she went to get it repaired they told her to just buy a new one which she REFUSED TO DO!! The FACT is though about this whole situation is there has only ever been ONE WATCH that I can wear!! Every watch I have ever owned ends up destroyed because of my work, or my hobbies!! Had she listened to me she'd have known the only watch I have ever own is an Armitron Ironman for a reason, and that reason is because they are nearly indestructible!! I have owned only three of them in my lifetime, and the one I have now still works after getting it for Christmas in 2010!! The last one I owned before that still works, and I bought that in 1987!! Meanwhile too my grandchildren (I have now some many years later) buy me things I can use! My one grand daughter for example bought me a metric tape measure!! I doubt she even looked at it or understood how "special" it is to me!! BUT nobody has ever bought one like it for me before, and I cherish it every time I need to make a measurement in metric and it is the only tool like it I have!! She bought that for me 9 years ago when she was just 7 years old!! Funny the kids and grandchildren understand my better than my second wife....and I divorced her nearly 20 years ago!!
