I remember when my first born was here, and there were moments I DID take it personally. Especially when all I wanted was quality "dad" time. That part of your advice hit home when I heard it. Now I'm two girls in and I have learned from experiences NOT to take it personally. Great advice.

Some of that "useless, wasteful" stuff is what keeps your wife sane when she just wants to shower and she is able to put the baby down in the swing, or when the baby only sleeps while being held but sleeps just as well in a good swaddle.
@DadUniversity3 жыл бұрын
You are correct, it isn't wasteful when it is useful. However there are a ton of items that are really aren't that useful and we get them anyway.

@@DadUniversityI feel this way about bottle sanitizers for babies who aren't especially immunocompromised and diaper genies when you can just use a trash can (and tie the especially foul ones in a grocery bag!)

The mother , whom i love verry much, is just by nature, a suspicious and score keeping personality. I can do all you spoke of. She also lives with "someone els" and or domestic situations are separate. I want to be a pert of this so much. I worrie about the being presant part.😟

I'm not a fan of spanking. I've spanked my daughter a couple times, but it sucks. I dont like it. I prefer time out or taking away privileges. The key is sticking to your guns! Dont negotiate!
