i know this was forever ago but it's not a midi controller, it's an open source device called grid by a company called monome. the one they're using here is in a museum now and monome only just started re-releasing this size of grid. here they were using a software called mlr to load and chop samples and then custom mixing those samples together. no midi involved. now they use a program called re:mix with grid to achieve the same effect because mlr became outdated

Best vide, best performance, and what a gentleman he is, sucha joy! the entire venue was in trans, his music and ability to create on the spit just takes you away. by far one of the best live shows I've ever attended.
